Animals will gain abilities? What is this an RPG or something? Animals will not gain abilities...micro-evolution is logical, but macro-evolution is not. When a virus forms new strains to counter our treatment, it is not changing into an elephant or a whale, it is simply sticking to its makeup. The stronger portions stick around and ultimately create something that the current treatment won't treat. That makes sense...

Why do people always complain about game updates? They take all of 25 seconds to download and they improve the game. So what if they didn't catch the bugs initially? At least be glad they can patch the game nowadays.
Demon's Souls is not the best game ever...nor is it the best RPG ever. It was very fun and the mechanics were great, but it missed many qualities that excellent RPGs have. Namely story, character development, etc...

Actually, I'm starting to think the train for this game is only for those opposing it. You guys have really made yourselves look fairly pathetic. The game isn't out yet. Every aspect of this game is different besides keeping the same (excellent) formula. So until you play it, stop exclaiming how it preforms.
Well written article. I feel the same way. If someone were to watch me play it, they would say the same things his wife did. But for me...I need to farm for those stones!!! Haha
The reason I like this method is because it still allows for unique characters. In FFXII each kind of character could pick the same path and ultimately ended in it being boring. If each character doesn't have something about them (ie. Magic, Quick, Brute, etc.) there leaves no room for character development.
I am glad they are providing limitations on characters. This isn't and MMO it is final fantasy. It is story driven and character driven. Leave it that way.
