I agree with you man. This service is great for people who are going to get use out of it. It is definitely not for everyone. If you don't buy PSN games too often and enjoy only 4-5 retail games a year, this is not for you.
I am most likely going to get it though. I'll wait until the final stipulations though.

3D gaming is way to expensive to be a mass selling point. Sony should know better from when their console was $600...

The thing I don't like about PSN plus is that Sony is saying that they are going to continually add new features....
How about you just come out with all the features now...or don't release it. Why would I pay for something that isn't finished? PSN pluss sounds like a great deal with all the content you get, but come on Sony. Don't say more is coming to PSN plus subscribers...that makes me wanna just wait until that more comes.

I know that it is a choice, but it is not comforting knowing they are spending a lot of money in 3D when the majority of ps3 owners cannot experience it...

I really don't think so. I think the stuff you get for FREE is stripped if you end up discontinuing the service, but they wont take away from content you've purchased.
The discount is for paying for that period. Kind of like being a member at Gamefly or what not. You get a discount on certain games while you are still a member.

Agreed. The concept of a purely digital handheld is genius. The problem was the price and the price access to games.

Well, as of now it is exclusive. I mean one of the guys from the company said "Exclusive to PS3" on the PS Blog. If you don't believe him I don't know who to believe.
It may come out in the future on different platforms, but as of now...ps3 exclusive. Do you agree or no?
Edit: And it was 5 days ago that the guy said that. I believe that is the most recent comment on the issue.
It is a ps3 exclusive. Comment #44 of the ps blog entry has this response... "It’s coming out exclusively to PS3 on June 8th. That button glitch is a really long story. Short answer is it was an old bug and an icon image that snuck in from a PC build! The kind of weird bug that keeps us up all night."
