MGS4 is nothing new for gamers because of old gameplay. Let's remove from MGS4 expensive graphics! What we get? Good old MGS or MGS2! Nothing more. And here MGS 4 is similar to Halo 3.
An role of MGS 4 is the same, be system seller. But Halo 3 failed as system seller and I think that MGS 4 will fail as system seller. Everybody who waits for MGS4 already bought PS3...
I do not even try to compare Halo with MGS. I am just estimating role of MGS and Halo in gaming ind...
MGS4 is nothing new for gamers. Same gameplay, same boredom. Exclusively on PS3 with its limited audience has only a chance to return investment in development.

Sony is selling PS3 with discount: around 50-150 $ loss per console sold.
The only way to get money back is selling of games. But 4-5 games per console rather not bring to Sony more than 50$.
AT the end, our beloved Microsoft understands who is the primary console(Wii, of course) and who is the secondary(XBOX360 or PS3) and waits humbly for market decision about second place in video gaming.

I am not surprised. If somebody could destroy Nintendo, it is Nintendo itself

Poor Sony... No good titles, low attach rate, high price and furious Microsoft loosing their market. Lone hope is Misty Future, where PS3 will get some fantastic(in reality excellent graphic, no gameplay) titles. Huh.
