"So I think that a big console game just generally has a larger potential for audience interest than a big PC game."
Here is what Rein had to say about Physics and the PS3:
"One thing AGEIA's done that's really smart is that--well, if you've seen our PS3 demo, and this is really version .1, really not a finished performance at all, but we've got some really great cool physics things going on PS3. They've done a really good job of optimizing their l...
Do I need dvd-drive shoved down my throat when i really don't want it?
Next gen isn't about multiple discs and standing up to change the disc doesn't anything have to do with beeing lazy or fat, but with comfort. The devs also don't like to use multiple discs.
360 isn't cabable of 1080p and fact is no matter how you twist it, the 360 accessories are way overpriced. It's not about having a choice. 360 force people to have an out of date dvd drive, 360 force people to play games without spectacular CGI. They only give you choice to let them milk you. Nobody with any sense want to pay 2x the price of a Wi-Fi adapter, nobody with any sence want to pay 4x the price of a HDD. That doesn't sound like a good choice to me.
Here is everything with what the PS3 will come with :
http://www.us.playstation.c... If it will be downgraded of something meaningful like Wi-Fi, then the PS3 will become surely cheaper.
Sony ain't forcing anybody, little Tommy should better stay with this gen or buy a not really next gen 360. If he doesn't have a HDTV, Blu won't help him on the movie front, but surely on the game front. The n...
The Xboxfanboys like to cry PS3 is way too expensive, but in fact it's very cheap for the things it offers, much cheaper than the 360. Let's see what Xbox360 would cost if it would only offer just the not so future proof HD movie playback:
$399 Xbox360 premium + $199 HD-DVD addon = $598
Almoust the price of the future proof 60GB PS3. Xbox 360 sadly still lacks Wi-Fi, HDMI and offers only a 20GB HDD.
If you don't care about HDMI and think movie studios won't use...
Islandkiwi - Oh I see, after some journalist pressed them, they said some movie studios won't use it. That's a lame excuse, some studios stated they won't use it for now, simply because HDMI is not that common, but when after let's say 2 years more people have HDMI TV's, they will surely include it.
You are wrong saying this affects the $599 version, the 60GB PS3 has a HDMI port and all you need is a HDMI cable. The HD-DVD addon same like the 20GB PS3 doesn't have a HDMI port and a ...
drewdrakes you must be kidding me, if you vote spam my post, so you surely should do the same with 90% of MSfanboys posts. It has as much to do with PS3 vs Xbox360 as the steady Sony bashing. MS is the company that created Xbox360, MS is the company that created Xbox and MS is the company that created the HD-DVD addon. I think it's important for the Xbox360 owners to know what happened to Xbox, cause in 4 years it could very well happen with Xbox360 too. And I think it's important for future ...
...still uses multiple accounts and applaunds himself. This guy is better than any comedyshow.
And how fast he was cernsoring my post...lol...lol...lol...truth hurts, isn't it Real Freakio?
Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword and RFOM, these games will be great and must have titles. If the devs will support keyboard/mouse for FPS games, then I'll maybe give up on PC gaming and play only on the PS3, as this is the main reason why I play PC games. Well, of course Crysis and other top notch FPS must also be released for the PS3.
As for me getting the PS3, it will take some time. I'm from Europe and I won't buy PS3 at launch. I never buy hardware at launch. I love also to play PC games and first comes a major PC upgrade. I'm just waiting for Vista and dx10 otherwise I would already have upgraded.
When somebody laughs the XbugTerminator is waiting for Vista, a MS product, I got to say that I'm not that much of a MShater but I'm a MSfanboyhater. MS offers just mostly PC type of games and that's why I chose Sony a...
It's not the usual si-fi alien shooter, what makes the story interesting is that they created an alternative history.
The distructable enviorment isn't the only difference, you are forgetting the innovative weapons and multiplayer. In almoust all multiplayer games(SC offers also an innovative mp) both sides have same capabilities and weapons. Just read the 2 previews on this site and you'll get the idea how great the mp mode of this game can get.
...that Xbox360 runs Oblivion like a mid to low end PC. I don't expect Oblivion will look better than on the 360, but that it will perform better.
I'm not waiting till March 2007 as I never intended to buy PS3 at launch. A major PC upgrade is priority and I'm pretty pissed Vista got delayed. But for now I'm pretty much enjoying BF2, CS:Source, FEAR, Call of Juarez, etc. so it's not a big deal.
BTW I'm not a MS hater or whatever, I just chose Sony, cause MS offers mostly PC...
Lets not forget this are 1st gen titles, give the devs time to use PS3's power correctly and we will get more games in 1080p. I expect in the 3rd or 4th gen that the majority will be in 1080p.
TheMart is pathetic. Firts he's claiming that PS3 can only run games like Teris in 1080p and now that it was proven otherwise, he's saying nobody needs it, cause most people doesn't have 1080p HDTV's LOL
I tell him RFOM has realisticaly destructable environments, he says he doesn't...
...some jealous MSfanboys. Any with sense knows that this game will come with enough cars and tracks.
MSfanboys must have a strong need to find something Sony will screw us like MS does them. Sorry but it won't happen, be happy paying for HDD twice the price for half the size and throwing out money for batteries or a charger.
