This is how Sony rolls.

They did come to play, and they already won.

JokesOnYou: What games? Timed exclusives? Give us a list of all the games Microsoft announced that actually belong to them.

The Order, The Dark Sorcerer, Killzone: SF, Knack, Drive Club, and inFamous: SS are all owned by Sony. Once these games sink in with the public, the next round of exclusives will be announced, and so on.

Sony did exactly what they had to do yesterday. Hope you're ready for another massacre at GamesCom.

Lol @ NeverEnding. #keepxboxlivefree #saynotomandatoryonline #saynotoDRM

As mentioned above, Digital Foundry and many others have already laughed off the Xbox One specs and cloud computing. How's it feel?

Join us. We promise we'll let you keep your soul.

No DRM at all, no mandatory online, self-publishing for indie developers, $399, upgradable hard drive, a ridiculously huge library of indie games already, 8GB GDDR5 RAM

VS

Timed exclusives, DRM, 24 hour check-in, $500

Xbox, go home.

This was the craziest E3 crowd I've seen in years. The shots Sony took at Microsoft while Jack Tretton troll giggled was the most satisfying thing about the conference. They knew from the start they'd win the people by announcing no DRM whatsoever + no mandatory online.

In addition to it all, $399, self-publishing for indie developers, and so man...

Let's run down the list together.

No DRM (unlike Xbox One)
No mandatory online (unlike Xbox Live)
$100 cheaper than Xbox One
Indie developers allowed to self-publish their games on PSN (unlike Xbox Live)
8GB GDDR5 RAM
Standard 500GB hard drive (no hard drives for Xbox One)
Already two new IPs (The Order, The Dark Sorcerer) completely owned by Sony (in addition to InFamous: Second Son, Killzone: SF, Drive Club, and Knack)

Just like Xbox Live, except you get free games with Plus. Sony wins again.

My god, InFamous: Second Son alone made my night.

The rest of the stuff; $399, no DRM, no mandatory online, an insane amount of indie games, the reveal of Ready At Dawn's long-awaited The Order (here comes Sony for the acquisition), The Dark Sorcerer (graphically slaughters everything), glimpses at Knack gameplay, that jungle scene in the Killzone: SF trailer, the ridiculous detail in Drive Club.

PS4 already an early contender for best console of all tim...

Another E3, another victim rests in peace.

Let the games begin.

Where are all the butthurts that said Sony would have their own DRM and mandatory online now?

@ Melon: How many more can we handle at this period is the question. They've already given us InFamous: Second Son, The Order, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Drive Club, Knack, The Dark Sorcerer (work in progress demo for a much larger game from Quantic Dream)...

All these games are owned by Sony.

Dead Rising and Titanfall are owned by Capcom and EA. What other "huge" games that Microsoft could call their own did they show in comparison to Sony?

God that looks scary as hell. Indie gaming on PS4 is going to be incredible.

Double agent Phil Harrison: "No one is more dedicated to indie developers than Microsoft."

Meanwhile Sony goes confirms self-publishing for indie developers, and shows so many freaking indie games I have to pause the conference and turn away for a breath.

$500 for a console with weaker specs, no hard drive, DRM, 24 hour check in, endless restrictions. You really have to wonder what kinds of people prefer that path, and whether they're alright.

Did you guys see the jungle clip in the Killzone: Shadow Fall trailer? Unbelievably beautiful.

The most impressive graphics ever, in any game, period. This is simply ridiculous.

This a bloopers vid similar to how Heavy Rain was first revealed. Is Cage making a dark magic title?

With Sony going against what everyone feared...

- $100 less than Xbox One
- no used game fees, no limits, share with anyone, anytime, anywhere
- no online check-ins

Games games games games...

InFamous: Second Son (Sony owned)
Knack (Sony owned)
Drive Club (Sony)
Killzone: Shadow Fall (Sony)
The Dark Sorcerer (Sony)
The Order (Sony)
So many indie games I lost count...

PS4 = $399
Xbox one = $499, Xbox Live not included

Lol $100 more for TV features and weaker specs. Have fun with that.

4610d ago 13 agree1 disagreeView comment

Lmao there is no cloud computing to make the system more powerful on Xbox One. Even developers who are working on the console have denied it. PS4 is the most powerful, fastest next-gen console and that is done and confirmed. Deal with it.

If that didn't get anyone pumped for Destiny I don't know what will. The art style, the world, the characters, enemy design, the weapons. Bungie just made Halo look like pure sh**, and they're in an exclusive partnership with Sony. I wonder how that feels to the butthurt, to have the first Destiny gameplay reveal at a Sony conference.

$100 more for a console that offers weaker specs and less games.
