FromSoft does this to demo their games. Unless you'd prefer seeing the player die over and over again, which would make consumers not want to buy the game.
What's the problem, exactly? Don't want them, don't buy them. It's giving consumers who didn't own a PS3 last gen the opportunity to play some of the best PS3 exclusives on PS4 at higher frame rate and higher resolution. The Last of Us even uses new character models.

They've confirmed multiple times this demo was tweaked to be easier than the actual game. Almost every developer does this when they demo a game. How the hell are they gonna demo a Miyazaki game at its default difficulty? Enemies will regain health too.

Sony won the moment Microsoft announced DRM and forced Kinect on Xbone.
So they fixed it on PS4, which now does 1080/60. They should have just kept it 900p on Xbone to help the frame rate. Too bad.

Driveclub AND Project Cars on PS4. Really hope Project Cars is good. I would like to support these guys for putting out an amazing PS4 version of their game.

Exclusive content isn't the same as buying a timed exclusive game. The amount Microsoft paid for Tomb Raider is probably just as laughably high as the GTA4 episodes that ended up on PS3.
Spoken like someone who's never played a Souls game. If you've never played one, I could see where the ignorance comes from. Every Souls fan will eat this up as it already looks better than all of them.
Edit: Souls games are not hack n slash games, they're RPGs. Massive difference. Deeper than every single game you listed.
