Uncharted 3 showed how to do these sort of moments. It's disappointing that games still opt for QTEs when simply moving the joystick forward would be much more engaging.

Single player games are feeling too scripted. I feel that when playing most of them, the developers want the player to do this, do that, and not give the player any freedom. Even if they offer "multiple playstyles" they often still feel heavily restricted. Open world games are suffering most I think, as they try to cram in as many pointless quests as possible. I loved Fallout 3, hated Skyrim and Fallout 4. Skyrim for having such pointless quests throughout the game, and Fallout 4 fo...

They said developers could do whatever they like with its power. That doesn't just mean 4K, it also means upgrades to lighting, textures etc.
It would be a massive handicap to developers if they were all told "Your game MUST be 4K."

The CoD4 Remastered standalone is going to be timed exclusive on PS4. For me, it's going to be a rather long wait it to release on Xbox One (As I'll need X1 version to play with friends.) So to me, timed exclusive...

The Last of Us had a decent story that was well told, not an absolutely legendary one like people make it out to be.

Wolf Among Us 2... The first one was possibly their best game. I'd also be interested in them doing one based on a cartoon like Adventure Time, Regular Show (If possible) or SpongeBob. Their writers could make great stories for those.

What? This is games with gold ya troll. Your two sentences weren't even about the same thing

Too clunky, and not as much polish as Uncharted. It's a jack of all trades versus a small, well-refined set of gameplay mechanics. This is coming from someone who has criticized Uncharted 4 many times.

That's just me, though

So they look at a good game for inspiration... and the whole project is a ripoff? In the case lets cancel all shooters, and all racing games since they're all taking inspiration from one another. In fact Horizon should've been canceled too, since the only new idea in that was robot dinosaurs. Damn it just cancel all games, developers are all just a bunch of rip-off artists.

Does that sound ridiculous?... I'm only raising this negativity up a single notch. It'...

There were quite a few cut from the original release. Originally I think there was supposed to be 48(?) colossi, then that was scaled down to 24. 24 were actually made, and you can see that in a few empty battle areas on the map.

I still don't think Platinum Games were capable of making a game as big as Scalebound.

You look at games like vanquish, Bayonetta, and even Nier, and they aren't anything close to the size that Scalebound would need to be. The fact that it was cancelled after being shown multiple times, and over three years.... to me, is proof. Nier was announced and released in a much shorter timeframe, so I think SB was just too big for them.

So? Shouldn't we judge the briefings based on the quality of the shows? CoD: WWII was a decent part of the Sony conference... doesn't matter that it isn't exclusive.

Wonder if it'll have a secret new colossus or something... probably wishful , but it'd be cool.

There are 4K movie players out there that are more expensive on their own... so that alone makes it a good price. Not everyone has the need for a premium console, so it's all up to the individual user whether it's worth it or not. I was personally blown away by the graphics of Metro and Anthem, so I'll consider getting one.

I don't know. I get the impression that a 60fps upgrade would me more complicated than "Do I have enough power to do it?" Look at Dark Souls II on X1/PS4 for example, the increased frame rate messed up a few things there. I'm fine with a simple 4K upgrades for existing games. It's games released around the same time and after the X where I'll be judging its power. Metro: Exodus and Anthem showed how powerful it is.

The Crash N-Sane Trilogy, a which...

Uhh...what? These aren't just some "Anecdotal variances", that's dismissive as hell (which further shows you probably aren't even considering what I'm writing.) It's the nature of backwards compatibility.

It absolutely DOES transfer into a lot of game time. But like most games, popularity wears off after launch. All the big games I mentioned got a lot of NEW SALES to back up that they got quite a lot of playtime. But even a big launch won't...

"So the average Xbox user plays BC less than an hour a week."

Well if we're going to assume that every Xbox user does the exact same thing every week, then sure. Case closed, MS shut down the BC team.

However, you're forgetting two things. 1 - Because it's a 6 month period, the percentage of BC playtime for each user is stretched thin. Bringing up the other example - I've completed 3 BC games over a 1.5 year period. That's qu...
