If those two things don't spell out "guaranteed fail" I don't know what does.
I honestly do not understand Japanese culture sometimes. To me this seems like a huge waste of talent and time to make something that is either annoying or just strange and they seem to do this sort of thing a lot. Some of the MGS stuff has been very funny and cool but a music video that seems to have little to nothing to do with the game and featuring a girl obviously in a school type uniform that looks to be no older than 14 and then to flash her in her underwear is a bit odd to say the l...
I like D2D because it does not have all the "community" features. I just want to buy a game and be able to download it again in the future if I had a storage drive failure or something. D2D has excellent customer support and has always helped me whenever I had a problem with an activation code or whatever. I don't like the idea of Steam because, one I can't stand Valve, not because of their games because some of them are very good, but because of their asshole attitudes and two, ...
I'll give you are perfect example. On evening I sent my girlfriend to pick up a copy of Heavy Rain at the local GameStop store about two weeks after the game was released. She runs by picks it up, runs a few errands and comes home. The first thing I notice when I open the bag is that the game is not sealed. There is no wrapping on it whatsoever. I open it up and all seems to be well but how do I know? I fume about it for a few minutes trying to decide if I really want to check the game ...
...should have made this list. It easily surpasses most of the ones shown in this "article".
"I bet 90% of straight virgin guys wished for someone like her."
Um no. I'm sure a lot of 14 year old virgins wish for something, but if they wished for this hideous thing, they have larger problems than a 44 year old stalker:

Yup, that killed it, lol.
The only music to listen to while killing is metal. Classic stuff like Metallica's Master of Puppets, Slayer's Reign in Blood, Mudvayne's L.D. 50, All That Remains, Fear Factory, cool stuff like Dope, Rammstein, Spineshank, death metal like Entombed, Death and tons of other stuff I can't think of right now. Rap either makes me angry or makes me laugh, much like country. I need some music with aggression to get the blood pumping and get me in that killing zone. A heavy crunch with some dou...

I still hear that damn music in my head at odd times in my life for no reason at all and I haven't played that game since my computer classes in middle school and that was 24 years ago!
Where I differ is when dealing with shooters. The complete lack of realism in most shooters is killing that particular genre for me. Sure, they look realistic but the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired and all because making them easier to play opens the game up to a larger player base and more sales. In other words, because a lot of the players can't handle realism, we are all forced to play with "Lincoln Logs" when what we really want is an Erector set. ;D Just my .02
I especially like this load of BS:
“I have no doubt that anyone who downloads this map pack is going to get their money’s worth. They’re going to feel their investment is worthwhile."
Why is that? Because I sure as hell don't feel like I got my $60 worth from the game itself. I understand why some people like this game but from my point of view as a long time military shooter PC gamer, games like this are destroying the genre with all this overpriced arcade ac...
Maybe not. Most critically acclaimed game in existence? Certainly the most acclaimed that I can remember in recent years. Even as a huge fan of Uncharted and Uncharted 2, I don't think I could boast that it's the greatest. It's a very good game that certainly stands out against other games that have come out in the last year or so that have had a lot of issues and haven't really been accepted by the critics and had all this attention. For sure it seems it is a game that definitely stands...
If it works well, it could revolutionize shooters. If it fails to bring the goods then I guess it will fall to the wayside and everyone will use the DS3. I wonder if there will be a way to separate gamers using the different controllers? If the Move works well it could be a huge advantage to players using it since 1:1 motion will be so much quicker to acquire a target than a accelerating reticle controlled by a joystick. Hopefully it will work and everything stay balanced in some way.
What? Did you get pissed that they leveled your country in Mercenaries 2? Lol...
I'm just joking with the name folks, relax. ;P
Here is a link to a vid of the trailer with descriptive commentary by Zipper Interactive's Creative Director, Ed Byrne. It's gives a little more insight to what they were trying to portray and those of you not "into" SOCOM might get a little more out of it. Sorry, same trailer so still no gameplay, lol.

Enjoy!
Read the article. They already announced that it will be 32 player online. Classic SOCOM multiplayer, which is all I really need. MAG is a ground breaking game, but it's a larger scale than the typical squad based game like the SOCOM series. I'm not looking for anything ground breaking from SOCOM 4, just good old fashioned SOCOM with all the tech and polish of a current gen console.
Maybe it's just me but I can really tell the difference between the people commenting that are fans of the series having played them for years and people who are unfamiliar with the SOCOM series and haven't seen much except for the Confrontation debacle. Sure, it's not a gameplay trailer and it's not showing much of the game but it's the same teaser style vid that every developer puts out around the reveal of a new title. MW2 did it, BC2 did it, etc. It's just to wet your whistle and get p...
Is that like a D&D thing? Can you get "Pants of Excitement +1"?
Diversity in a genre is always a good thing. Look at all the FPS games that totally suck. With any luck, the FPS developers look at games like that and don't make the same mistakes and improve on the good things. Personally I thought Dante was a solid game. Maybe not GoW caliber, but still solid and worth playing. I couldn't get into the Bayonetta thing, it's just too "Japanese" for me. That level of useless perversion and ridiculous music will keep me from buying any game. ...
Maybe I'm overreacting but the last few games that have come out of Codemasters have been rushed and had a lot of issues. The only one I can think of that was worth a damn was Dirt 2. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was a disaster and the way Codemasters handled the situation was shameful. As much as I loved Black and would love to see a sequel or even a new IP with the same look and feel, I'm really not sure I want to give Codemasters any more of my money.
Please define what makes someone a "real fan" of something. Just because people have a differing opinion on something suddenly they are not "real" or are somehow less than you?
