Either way the article says it "may" become a problem. The USAF hasn't said anything about their systems being shut down over this and this isn't some 12 year old kid in his underwear playing games on the living room floor, this is the USAF. They have plenty of resources at their disposal and I certainly doubt they will be inconvenienced by it. Their are many other ways of getting a PS3 worked on besides sending it to Sony. Also, I have yet to see in any statement from t...
Is it me or is this just a reissue of the PS2 games? Sure looks the same.
* Neverwinter NIGHTS, not Knights...
Honestly I don't think that's a valid complaint. Seriously, how many time has damn near every war been used in a game? About the only one not completely overdone is WWI and trench warfare doesn't seem very exciting unless there's some sort of minigame to prevent trench foot. Vietnam has been done a lot, but not near as much as WWII or misc current conflicts. About the only big name I can think of off the top of my head was Battlefield Vietnam and as cool as it was, the EoD mod for BF 1942...
They should have fried him. This was a perfect chance to make examples of these little idiots and the judge blew it. I'd have sentenced him as an adult and put him in prison for a year to let him know what it's like to get his ass "hacked". I bet he'd never cheat again, lol.
...But you are an idiot if you think this story is not a big deal and is only around to generate hits on a few websites. This is a big deal to a lot of gamers and people in the industry. This sort of thing will cause a lot of ripples that will effect many aspects of gaming, especially with the developers and publishers. I imagine right now there are probably a lot of devs and publishers that are looking over the contracts they signed previously and you can bet anyone signing a contract in ...
Codemasters will NEVER get another dime of my money. They rushed Flashpoint and half-assed most of it, completely ignored the community that supported it and just generally acted like they already got our money for the game and that they could care less about us after the fact. Sorry, I'm not getting burned like that again and in no way am I going to support a company that treats it's customers like trash. I hope they go out of business.
Foolishness. If you can't even get the phrase right WTF is the point in writing it? If this moron didn't want to use a curse word, nevermind that "ass" is just a donkey, he should have used "half-baked" which means basically the same thing instead of creating a new reason to call himself a damn idiot.
I loved that game years ago. It had a lot of Monty Python humor in it and was good entertainment for a few hours. I still laugh when I think of the Catapult, lol.
The original Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was also a very good game that I still have laying around here somewhere. Much better than the Soul Reaver games that followed it in my opinion.
Honestly, who cares about the specs if it looks and plays great? How much to the specs really mean to the average gamer? Sure there are titles that have suffered graphically and should have been better considering the hype, but will any of this really matter when the game releases? Seriously, are you going to not buy this or any game because of it's specs even though it looks good regardless of the resolution and is fun to play? Admittedly I am not a 360 fan and I will not be buying Alan ...
...And just couldn't get into it. Something about all the people looking like porn stars just turned me off. I mean it's ok to have hot chicks in a RPG, in my opinion, but the guys reminded me of He-Man or something and the whole homo-erotic vibe just sort of made me take the game less than seriously. Eh, I'm more of a D&D sort of guy anyway. Just my .02
Back when the PS2 and original Xbox were out in full swing me and a few of my friends used to joke about how heavy the Xbox was. A couple of the PS2 guys bought one and got hooked on it and we started a joke about the Xbox being so heavy because it came with a pound of weed inside the case. We even called it the "PotBox", lol. It was all in good fun as this was before the "fanboy-ism" became such a big problem.
It's hard to say if they will do anything to balance it. It could be a good bit of leverage to sell Move if it becomes a do or die situation, or it could backfire and result in the failure of SOCOM 4 and any other games they attempt a similar strategy with. I'm not saying that is what they will do, but it seems it's a possibility. There may actually be a way to separate the players using different controllers but Zipper has mentioned that both Move and DS3 controllers will be playing again...
Really it's not going to be much different than playing a racing game online. Without a decent steering wheel, I imagine it's near impossible to compete with the guys running wheels. It will probably be the same for SOCOM 4 with both controllers active online. I don't know if there is a way to separate them honestly since I don't think the PSN can tell what controller you have installed. As a PC gamer, I'm looking forward to using Move in SOCOM 4 since it will be much more like a mouse th...
I just don't think I can get into a GTA game in London. I love parts of the UK culture and I can see settings like the movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels making for some great fun but I don't think that would feel like GTA to me. I really don't want another Vice City either, especially not another set in the '80s. Once was more than enough and most likely anyone old enough to remember what the '80s was really like will agree. I would love to see another done like San Andreas. Mult...
...I sort of have to agree with this guy this time. PC gamers are a bit more patient, while console gamers tend to be a lot more critical of just about everything. I don't know if it's this all the fanboys this gen, the utter rash of reviews and "articles" out on the Internet these days or maybe just that console gamers are a bit spoiled. PC gamers tend to have a "can do" attitude towards game fixes and so on. Maybe it's because of the issues many experience tweaking t...
I believe Dead Pixel reported a rumor in the last "Inside Gaming" that another two IW team members jumped ship.

Just a rumor, but probably has more truth to it than most of the "news" here, lol.
A few years ago I would have cringed at this news. EA used to be the bad guy publisher who ate up small studios for huge profits, putting out cookie cutter games and while they haven't strayed too far from that, at least now they are putting out decent titles and it's amazing how a publisher as bad as Activision can make EA look "good". I hope EA continues to push decent titles and I hope that they learned a few lessons from this whole Activision deal. I hope EA lets West and Zam...
Congrats. As far as the people hating, ignore them. It's your dream so I say go for it. You seem to be an intelligent enough guy to know that most of our dreams turn out a bit differently than what we imagine at first, but I don't think that will be an issue for you. You have a college education and a foot in the door. Do a good job, push the limits and aim higher while you are a tester. I'm sure if you work at it you can find a place for yourself in the industry where you love what you...
Soda, I usually cannot agree with you on most of your comments but damn that made me laugh when I read it, lol. I'll probably get disagrees for laughing but I take a joke for what it is, a joke.
