Sucks not everything is potentially going, does anyone know if the Midway brand will still exist or would it just disappear after the final bid?
Depends what kind of DLC for me, if it adds more to the singeplayer experience (GTA IV) OR multiplayer (various map packs, playlists, etc) then I'm all for it.
Bethesda will probably force Interplay to use this cash up in the potential law suit :(
Yea this is pretty much what every non fanboy was trying to explain but of course people started to jump to conclusions for no reason. IMO the price for this is way to high, I'm all for helping new studios and stuff but they should have added a bit more for $10.
Had Sega not done so many add ons maybe they could still be in this console race with support from both consumers and developers.
Plus odds are Sonic would have been good too! :p
I doubt this is a unlock key but probably using disc assets which is common for almost all DLC. Then again the DLC only contains playmodes which could be a few kilobytes in size for all we know.
This is the Examiner, all their writers spin headlines with little information behind it, submit it to N4G and then get paid a crap ton for it.
Unlock Capcom this probably isn't a unlock code, it most probably uses the assets already on the disc and adds new ones. Then again the compression techniques used in the game could be good enough.
Those are pretty good figures, it should reach the 2.5-3 million barrier at least for lifetime worldwide.
Cajun: Condemned, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden (as a whole) and Lost Planet were never 360 exclusive, they had all seen PC releases day and date or in NG were classic multiplatform titles.
OP: This was never 360 exclusive, it was also on PC! :p It will be interesting to see if Microsoft actually paid for exclusivity, I've heard theories saying Bethesda was sitting on the PS3 DLC because they wanted to get the infrastructure of the PSN down or something.
What a undetailed post, for those interested here is more info:

Back on topic, this is why I love independent developers!
$20 million in over 12 years, how many developers can do that and come out with what we saw with the leaks (which were apparently early on in development)? It was obviously a labor of love from the looks of it.
Right but that is separate, I look through some of their filings and they were pulling net revenues of over a million since then. The only thing they really do is put their back catalog out.
Um 3DR has always innovated and pushed tech in weird ways, gamers complain theirs not enough innovation in game and now when they delay their game to allow technology to catch up to allow their ideas to happen gamers say they should be shut down, wtf?
In Duke 3D for instance, their is a pool table that you can literally play pool on with you feet complete with realistic physics, sounds, etc. It's so miscellaneous yet it's cool they did it.
Always bet on the Duke baby! It's good because not everyone lost their jobs and work on DNF can continue one day, of course a majority of the original staff should be brought back if work ever picks up on the title.
How will 3DR get funding now though? They can either sell or license a ip like they did with Prey and Max Payne or get acquired. Then again, Interplay pulls a easy million by offering their back catalog up for download on sites like GOG, etc.
I never finished Dead Rising solely due to the save point issues and the time limit, I just had my fun killing zombies! :p
All those games have dedicated servers dude, almost all EA multiplayer titles use dedicated servers. I even linked you to stories confirming L4D is using dedicated servers and you still deny it, wtf?
So...is this test real?
Off the top of my head the following games have used dedicated servers for the 360 at least
Frontlines: Fuel of War
Battlefield Series
Unreal Tournament III
Left 4 Dead ( http://theangrypixel.com/bl...
It's not Microsoft's decision, it's the decision of the developer/publisher. When it comes to first party if the dev makes a ga...
This is a poorly written article that makes no sense at all, it's simply a crappy blog rant. Why would Microsoft innovate third party titles? The Rare games he mentioned are loved by by many, got reviewed well, but sold mediocre. News fact, Microsoft doesn't own Unreal Engine so why would they halt innovation?
This guy calls graphics innovation? Ok well when next gen was introduced peoples jaws dropped when seeing titles like Fight Night Round 3, PDZ, Call of Duty 2, etc when ...
Hopefully this also spurs game development, many Indie devs can make some good money selling Dreamcast games.
