It would certainly be a first, for a mainline FF (excluding XI and XIV) to simultaniously come to the PC. Highly unlikely if you ask me. However, I do not dispute the fact that it will come to the PC eventually. Maybe after a year or so.
Of course I hope that I'm wrong. The more people that can enjoy this title the better.

Obviously. People get more excited for a game that's close to release. On top of that, in contrast to FFXV, they have been releasing info at a steady pace over the last few weeks.

The new direction they went with FFXV is a nice experiment, but as much as I like action RPG's, I'd like to have a little variation and have the next one more similar to its roots. I'd kill for something similar to IX.
In (minor) defense of Square Enix, it's kinda hard to listen to the fanbase when it's so terribly divided...
They are doing good now since FFXIV ARR. Hope it lasts.
