$1500-1600, somewhere in that range. Took me about maybe two or so hours to build and install the OS, drivers, and personal file transfers. I've probably spent less than $500 on games thanks to steam sales making back the cost over a year and a half later. The benefits of an upfront investment.

There is no settings to opt in or out as it's circulated monthly to a small percentage of the userbase. The only way get in is to receive the notification window for that specific month. It only collects data or not if you choose to accept or cancel.

The Steam Hardware Survey is optional. Only 1/12th of all Steam users are asked monthly. If you don't get that window that asks you to be a part of the survey, no information about your PC is collected.
That being the case, this makes the article an invalid judgement.
You can, by all means.
Actually consoles have their fair share of a pirating scene. In fact, it's probably more than PC. Think about it, two now easily affordable and modifiable last gen systems with similar hardware with games made and optimized for their specifications. I'd say since pretty much any and every game on either platform can easily be run on those systems due to their specifications, both consoles would be more susceptible to game piracy. Compared to PC there's many factors to take into ac...
Like they'd admit it. Mum's the word most of the time in this industry. It may or mat not, all you can do is wait and see.
@Spartacus10 you're factoring in reselling, which not everyone does as you lose those games, most wish to keep their library. PS+ is nice, but you don't actually own those games, it's a rental service and you only have access to what Sony gives you when or if they choose. You only keep access to those games for as long as you keep paying. You can save up to 50% off a launch game depending on where you buy, an example of this is from CD Key sites. These sites are typically competit...
I don't know why anyone would even aim to build a PC at the same price ratio as a console. A big aspect of pc gaming is to build a system that performs better for a higher budget. You make up the cost in cheaper game prices and free online, it's an upfront investment for long term savings. Not sure when or why this "cheap build" craze started but it's counterintuitive in the long run.
"thats why i left pc gaming years ago"
"i have my ps4 and gaming pc.
gaming pc doesnt get used but when a game comes out i cant do on ps4 i get it on pc. "
You just said prior that you have a gaming PC that you don't use, but do use. How can you leave a platform if you're still using it? Way to contradict yourself.
@johndoe11211
Not officially.
So you're judging a game still in development based off a short teaser of the protagonists face up close, no gameplay shown at all. How is that any different than what you've just stated about Crysis 3 with Psycho's face up close? To Crysis 3's credit there's gameplay to show, also the Crysis series has always had open level design, much like Halo. Uncharted based on previous entries has been fairly linear for the sake of cinematic storytelling. So really both are incompar...
If I had a nickel for every time I've seen a PC exclusive indie title get begged for a console release. I'd have enough to rent a game from PS Now for a year.
One more time, in English please.
Got mine, now just gotta wait til August 1st.
Or enough for a lobotomy procedure after too much Naruto.
"Game Of The Year" hardly means anything when just about anyone with a site or magazine hands them out, you can claim any game is Game Of The Year subjectively and no one can say otherwise. A site or magazine's name attached to it hardly means anything for the same reason, it's subjective and based around another's opinion. If you want to get technical 2012's VGA named Half Life 2 "Game Of The Decade". See how little it matters?
I think he was touched as a child and a PC just happened to be within his peripheral view throughout the ordeal. His comments often exhibit some rather aggressive hate toward it, often unprovoked.
Sony never owned the Crash Bandicoot IP, Universal did. Universal had a publishing deal with Naughty Dog before Sony bought the studio, thus both Sony and Universal entered a distribution agreement with the Crash Bandicoot IP, it lasted up until the release of the PS2. Same thing with the Spyro IP, Universal owned both.
I see a ton of aliasing in those SF captures, as well as low shadow quality in the second. Contact LensCrafters immediately.
