I don't know how many of you are aware of, or remember this, but Mario Kart 64 saved ghost data to a N64 memory card. The card was a cartridge that plugged into the N64 controller, the same place the rumble pack went.
Nintendo discovered, however, that since the N64 used carts for the games, as opposed to CDs, nobody needed memory cards since the games could save the data on the cart. However, there were isolated usages of the N64 memory card, and Mario Kart 64 ghost data is ...
Raist doesn't seem to be aware of it.
Poorly written article; a little context would have been nice.
But anyway, how significant is this really? Was there actually a huge wave of Wiis released on Sunday, or was it just a bunch of hype?
Um, Link to the past is the pinnacle of 2D Zelda, if not the best Zelda game ever (either it or Twilight Princess).
However, I have the Zelda Collectors Disc for the Gamecube, so I have no reason to get this. Oh well.
Here's hoping for Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, or Super Mario RPG on the next go-round
Dang, I didn't know there were lyrics to the Final Fantasy theme. I'm going to have to look them up.
I've seen this before. It's old.
I remember a team that remade the original Doom into a Doom 3 mod, but only the first chapter since it was shareware. They thought they could avoid trouble only by recreating that part of the game. Of course in this situation, there are no free parts of Goldeneye available. And it's not like that is a foolproof method, anyway.
If there was no potential for future sales, Rare would probably ignore them. However, with the Virtual Console and other download services, retro gam...
They're probably comming from those really weird people that actually don't like the Wii. But anyway...
I'm guessing (wild guess) the only reason we haven't seen this for new consoles is that there's some sort of agreement that retailers have to make with Nintendo about the mark-up they will charge, and that they won't make it too high. But selling a pre-owned Wii has nothing to do with Nintendo, directly. So they can mark it up however much they want.
Holy crap, a quintuple post! I guess the browser still has some issues.
I'm entering this comment from the Wii browser right now! It's actually better than I expected, but It's not replacing Lappy. It's fun to watch H*R on my TV, though

The links don't work. I get a request resource is not available error. It was probably just a glitch in the system; I don't think they're giving away games for free. Although I'm sure those are the actual games that will be released on Christmas, but they won't be free.

You need a PS3 in order to get games that only run on a PSP? Are those the only types of games you can download from the PlayStation store?
This'll be another port just like Twilight Princess was. However, it will include at least the bonus stuff that was in the PS2 version, if not more. And you'll get to aim with the Wii remote, instead of a joystick.
There were "framerate" issues in some parts of RE4, so at the very least I imagine those will be fixed in the Wii version. In the original, the engine blured things to try and cover up the lack of framerate. This is most obvious in the outside area be...
