I think I will get both give some love to Xbox, after the original I never bought one again was always a ps gamer since 94 then Xbox came I gave it a try and it was a blast with halo split screen multi-player but never had one after the original, so let's see what they bring this time around... Now about the gears 5 look, it has a good look but the art style is sub-par and that is what is missing in that title... The era of polygon count is over...
You that Xbox is not Microsoft right? They don't have the money you think... Otherwise they could simple buy the generation with the best deals and all but they don't do that. Microsoft has more money than Sony but Playstation has more money and reputation than Xbox... End of the day publishers and game maker want money and more than that money that goes along with a reputable partner in the business like Playstation.

The devil here is in the details and will be in every single nextgen game be it from Xbox or Playstation, the things that will play big roll is: DoF, light, volumetric clouds, speed, AI, particle effects, things like that... I think that is the route this gen is moving to.

Sony has proved time and time again that they deliver on games that is why people are not talking a lot about gameplay... but Microsoft in the other hand hasn't delivered anything for an entire gen and more... Sony didn't promise gameplay for every game like Microsoft did with the Inside Xbox event, so yeah... and we all played Spider, Horizon and Souls games... so we know how the gameplay is.
And i'll say it again... Developers keep moving around since ever and Playstation is dominating for 25 year not just because of the developers but mostly because of the culture at Playstation, you can have the best developers, if the organization culture is of trust me ain't gonna work... Microsoft is hiring developers since ever but the Xbox culture hasn't changed that is why they are in the position they are...
