Assembly is fast, fluid, responsive, all while redefining the cardboard cutout genre.
Also no rumble, no gyro, and no battery. These things kill your switch battery even in sleep mode, total power leech.
Nope, and their streaming method sounds very complicated, mostly in the cloud, partially local. I mean they still haven't got Crackdown 3 cloud destruction working on a consumer level, and that's been in development hell since 2014. I'll take my games rendered locally thank you.
If you liked Ori, try Hollow Knight on switch or PC. It's f'ing incredible!
And they jacked the price back up to $60. I'm not feeling it, they may have been better off calling it something else. Anything to rinse the stink off it's name would have helped in my opinion.
You were also getting a standalone working console at that point. Does grandma know that the cheaper box only works with a fibre broadband connection when she buys little Johnny his Xbox?
Adding co-op to existing series' usually doesn't end well. I believe Co-operative games should be built from the ground up, and have a good reason for doing so, like A Way Out.
Resident Evil 4 = masterpiece ===> RE5,6 = not great ===> RE7 = good again
Dead Space 1,2 = incredible ===> DS3 = wet garbage, my favorite series snuffed from existence.
Portal = great game ===> Portal 2 = okay they nailed it, but it was a separate mode.
This game looks like a definite purchase. I love all of From's games, and I'm sure this will not change that.
Hopefully, but they have a perfect record of cutting support early on their consoles. Maybe this time is different.
Agreed. Such an incredible game.
FH2 was much better in my opinion. Better location, better progression, and half the events weren't blank placeholders for you to create your own races.
I'm pretty sure none of the DLC, 3 car packs at launch, VIP, and whatever other monetizations they include in the game are not free with the game pass version. You buy the $100 version to get all that stuff, I'm not sure what it adds up to individually though. You may very well end up paying more if you add up a couple months of Game Pass, and all of the content purchased separately.
In docked mode the Switch is more powerful than last gen systems, but when in handheld mode its clock speed is cut by 60% so its gimped pretty bad there. The consensus is that its about 393 Gigaflops/s docked whereas the Xbox 360 was 230 Gf/s. I do agree with you on how many hardware and software features are missing on this thing.
The article is referring to Japan, I don't think those series' would be all that impactful over there. I know Splatoon does very well in JP, but I'm not sure how well the average AAA shooter does sales wise.
They are some incredible games. Make sure to play both sequels too, and most importantly Bloodborne.
I agree, Prey was criminally underrated by reviewers in my opinion. It has cool weapons and abilities, lots of secrets that are worth finding, and a good story. There were some issues at launch, specifically having no dead zones in the sticks, and major input lag, but those are sorted out now.
Yes, this game never really caught on. /s
It's out of the ordinary, but I don't take Jason as a liar. He is fairly well respected and trusted in the industry. He does explain himself in the comment section, like some other reviewers not even knowing about the fast travel system til very late in the game, among other reasons.
Gotta disagree with you on DS2. I love it! But yeah DS3 and Bloodborne are leagues ahead in fluidity, control, and graphics. DS2 was my first though so I may have rose tinted glasses on.
