I love deadspace and any of these games would be day 1 purchases, BUUUTT don't have the consoles necessary. Maybe in a year or so.
There is an audience for this on the Wii. Maybe not the best selling audience because "Hardcore" gamers have given up on Nintendo...for some reason...because most of them are graphics whores...but there is a huge install base on the Wii..and if they can get some of that..then they will do alright. But I think both this and xenoblade will do well--i think where most gamers skip out is that they read reviews and most jrpgs/rpgs for the wii have been bad...but these two look beautifu...
That "hardcore" games arent selling. All the PS3 fanboys and xbox360 fanboys loath the Wii. and Nintendo isn't even targeting them--so why is it Nintendos fault that Blur and Alan Wake dont sell. These games arent even on the Nintendo..they arent in the market. My thought is that there are are two many 3rd party developers and they are developing too many games and too fast. Theres probably 5 AAA titles each month. Who has the time or money to consume that...not to mention ...
There are going to be two things going on here...there will be a New Wii exclusive game that is fully new, and then there will be the xbox live version which will probably just be a revamped older version.
Saw that last night, but couldnt figure out where you get it. This will be on tonights menu of things to do.

We are very aware of these systems and their capabilities. The buy in cost to even start playing them is just too much...the Benefits of a Wii per dollar far outway either the PS3/360 per dollar. Maybe I will get one when the price comes down another $100.
I picked Sin and Punishment up over the weekend. And have beeen playin to non-stop. Stories a bit wacky...but the graphics are nice..and the Action will make your mind spin...There is so much going on..its wonderful..Highly recommended...but the difficulty even on the easy setting can be a bit of headache...but if you grew up in the hey day of games...difficulty issues are something you should be used to.
This game would have been great if they kept it as the Gladiator AD and it was supposed to use the WiiMotion+. I know they were trying to target a different audience with the changes, but it could have been something great---They turned a mature dueling game into a childs waggle control game. And to think the game got props at last years E3--and it comes out now for a $30 shovelware garbage game. Thanks Sega---way to ruin the game. High Voltage needs to take a stand on their original dire...
I don't think I can remember when Nintendo did have really good 3rd party support on a console. I think the last one that probably did was super nintendo....64 wasn't bad, but they still had bigtime lulls in games...my thoughts on this is that the devs are sticking to old ways(graphics/"hardcore games") meanwhile nintendo has a huge install base for the Wii--but it is a different demographic that the devs dont really know who to target---not to mention that porting to the w...
I don't believe that Mario/Zelda will ever die. They are such epic faces of gaming that they can't go away-And they can't go away because Miyamoto always tries to make the games fresh and new--also they are the faces of Nintendo. Without them Nintendo wouldn't be the same. And as for "Older gamers" moving on to other games. I don't believe that for a second. Just because there are adult roles and killing in most of other consoles games does not make them bet...
Im real excited for Kirby and DK....but I'm intrigued to hear more/play flips twisted world...could add something new to the mix.
Vanquish looks way better than Gears
As much as I agree that Nintendo has plenty of sequels--On most occasion they manage to mess with the gameplay(in a good way) that allows the game to feel new and fresh. I'm not gonna lie...I'm still not sick of mario...don't think I ever will be. Only game wasnt truly a fan of was SM Sunshine..just changed it up a bit too much...
sequels I dislike---most every 1st person shooter. Generally enjoy the first ones---after that its like repeats...
Why is it that all "real gamers" play shooters(whether it is 1st/3rd/1st person space)? You do understand that there are other genres of games besides shooters?
I have always been a Nintendo fan and probably always will be. I know I can look to Nintendo to have fun. There are always dry spells for good games..but thats how its always been. I hope to see that change with the 3DS---Nintendo has put a huge effort inviting and supporting 3rd party developers for the new console. Starcraft 2, Flingsmash and Dragon Quest
I will say that this game is probably the only really scary game that I have run across in my gaming days. I was usually playing it in a quiet house...sound up...and screen dimmed down. I think until I got used to the game and how they made me jump I was taking breaks at every chapter or two. What an incredible game.
The screens for Frontier do not look so hot. Looks like blocky and standard. Was looking to see something a bit more special.
any game that takes an 8 is worth taking a look at...i think everyone is always expecting games to get 9 and 10s...and if not they arent worth looking at...if thats your mentality...you are missing out on a lot...most of the 6/7 games are worthwhile...6 is probably the lowest I would go..but this game looks great...definitely checkin it out when it comes out
