lmao
I thought to myself that this year, they will have to wisen up and not simply choose the best selling title, so I was expecting Battlefield 3 to win but when I heard Modern Warfare 3, I lost all hope for humanity.
I couldn't tell if that guy was serious or acting. He just seemed hostile in the way he could not stop screw facing that executive guy and when the presenter asked him to shake hands, he refused and they had to cut him off or something.
Truly, the VGA is really a joke.
I didn't press disagree however it would seem by the non-vocal tone of your message that you liked this new MGR more than last year's MGS:R.
Maybe you do or don't but I'll just say I liked last year's trailer a lot more than this year's.
Agreed. The old trailer felt like stealth combined with sword cutting could have been possible. I mean the way Raiden was stalking and hiding from that robot before going for the kill. That is what the game should have been like. Not simply an over the top hack n slash.
I too would rather have the old concept they showed at E3 2010. That old trailer was much more 'Metal Gear' than this new one.
Different games deserve different framerates.
Since MGS games require planning and slow and careful gameplay, 30fps suited it.
But for high speed action packed hack n slash games like Devil May Cry, 60fps is mandatory.
Did you rike it?
That's one of the biggest issues I have with this.
In MGS4, while Raiden and Vamp had superhuman abilities, the fighting were well coreographed and realistic to a certain extent. The animations were clearly real and done by motion actors.
But Platinum is known for over the top crazy action and it just doesn't suit well in the Metal Gear series. What we saw Raiden doing in this new trailer is much more powerful than his fights with Vamp and Geckos.
Yeah there is absolutely nothing Metal Gear about what we saw.
Not saying this will turn out a bad game. It's being made by Platinum who made Bayonetta and Vanquish and the guys in charge of Platinum made the original Devil May Cry series.
I still don't know how to react to this though.
Well to be honest, if the name of this title didn't contain the words Metal Gear, this would have been an amazing trailer.
I really don't understand the direction in this game now. It just isn't MGS anymore. What the hell were those suits with samurai swords. And that cyborg guy who looks like a mix of Vamp and Snake?
Man, I am actually disappointed. This might be a fun game, but this is not what I wanted out of a Metal Gear spin off.
Well it's definitely after the E3 2010 trailer, because the gameplay and style I saw in this new trailer is very different.
Perhaps Konami wasn't very pleased with the reaction after E3 2010's debut trailer?
Technically, Devil May Cry were made by the people who is currently in charge of Platinum.
It's why Bayonetta's gameplay and style were very similar to Devil May Cry.
Basically, after the hiatus and silence after E3 2010's trailer, it seems the game went back to the drawing board.
The whole initial concept is no where to be seen. This trailer showed nothing of Zan-Datsu. It seems that the promises of how MGS:R would allow the player to play stealthily have been discarded.
Now Platinum is developing and the original Producer was dropped, this confirms that MGS:R went back to the drawing board and has completely changed ...
Oh my God.
I have very mixed opinion about this.
This is my most anticipated trailer in VGA.
Hideo Kojima is executive producer in this game.
Think of that position as a sort of overseer, not in charge of creative development.
One Piece is a lot better than Naruto, not to say that Naruto is bad, it's just not in the same league as One Piece.
I consider it the best long running shounen anime out there.
I thought the Desmond's Journey levels were interesting. It wasn't a Portal rip off because firstly, it doesn't use portals to solve puzzles and secondly the puzzles are very different; Portal uses laws of physics and momentum to solve puzzles while ACR used pretty much general platforming.
The only disappointment were the lack of "revelations." Desmond's Journey revealed his backstory from his early childhood living in the Assassin 'farms' t...
Please no. Just give us a remake, that's all we want. There are too many '-2's now in Final Fantasy.
We've already had many entries in the compilation so far:
Before Crisis
Crisis Core
Last Order (OVA)
Advent Children
Advent Children Complete
Dirge of Cerebus (horrendously shit)
Unless they get the original writers of FF7 on board (Sakaguchi, Nomura, Nojima) and actually give it as much effort a...
