Emulators are completely legal. They are made of completely new programming and done from scratch. You need your own BIOS to run it and you need to make your own backed up ROMs. Almost all emulators come without a BIOS file so you need to get your own and they do not come with pirated ROMs.
Regarding ROMs like SNES or GBA games, most people feel like since they already bought and supported the games over...

Actually Sony has released court papers to the public as far as I can remember. They revealed how they were keeping logs of hackers' IRC channels and comments on geohot's blog etc.
Technically, court is supposed to be open anyway. Although, I'm not sure with civil cases.
@GenoZStriker, it depends. Apparently, installing CFW on the PS3 is as simple as on the PSP. It doesn't look too difficult. And besides, when jailbreaking an iPhone was made legal, loads of shops opened up confidently to jailbreak and unlock people's iphones for cash. That could happen for the PS3.
Biggest, it's just that Sony is "indirectly" giving geohotz media attention.

It's a strange feeling when you go on a mobile service provider and find a mod on the forum recommending people to jailbreak their iPhones for various reasons like unlocking.
Well it would be a normal DS with higher spec, Gyroscope and Accelerometer.
But I have tried a 3DS and I can confirm it does strain your eyes significantly quicker than other portable consoles.
Guess you will need to turn off 3D every now and then but 3D is one of its selling factors as it's pretty awesome.
