As far as I can remember, Snake helped Raiden save Olga's kid, Sunny from the patriots.
I think it was during that mission that Raiden was caught by the patriots and experimented upon only to be saved by Eva/Big Mama.

Yeah, Kojima has constantly repeated that the "Solid" part of the title stands for the game becoming from 2D to 3D in the PS1 era.
And it's a bit hasty to trash on this game when we've hardly seen anything.
It's being made by Kojima Productions and that's good enough to know it won't suck.
But we all know that because it's not exclusive to a Sony console the fanboys will hate on it anyway.
Nintendo made a mistake to not let 3DS launch with a good number of titles. There's almost no real games that will pull consumers to get it.
Although this will change around the releases of Ocarina of Time 3D, MGS3D and Dream Drop Distance.

Although I may play FF Tactics as I've never played it before.
I don't think we'll be seeing Kingdom Hearts III until FFvs13, Dream Drop Distance and Birth By Sleep Volume 2 are out.
The team that worked on the previous KH games are working on FFvs13 and the team that worked on Birth By Sleep are working on Dream Drop Distance.
So at least another 2 more years people =(
