Destructible environments, if anything like the first Red Faction, should be quite fun on this generation of consoles.
I'm excited.
Gamercat kannot wayt!
Played the Heavenly Sword demo at a friend's today as well, when I get a PS3 (hopefully soon) I'll pick that up. Bioshock, then Heavenly Sword.
Good month(s) coming up.
The thing that is really promising about Home to me is that they can keep adding more and more to the world through updates and such.
Will definitely have this when I get a PS3.
Yeah, what he said ^^. If you have friends (a big prerequisite for some), just split the costs with them. That's what I'm doing.
With Guitar Hero's guitar being so expensive alone, I don't know what made you think it would be 100 dollars.
Whatever it takes to garner a little third party support.
No, I disagree because you come off as righteous and a bit egotistical.
"But a good game is based completely subjectively, meaning in someone's opinion. I agree that the 360 focuses more on shooter type games than anything else, so in that reagrd, they are not very diverse. However, I like shooters as well as many other gamers. "
So, you say a good game is based subjectively, go on to explain that the 360 is shooter focused, and you back it up with &quo...
Will people... please... stop... saying... "for the win." Or "FTW." Or other 1337 fanboy talk for winning the console war.
The console race is far from over, and nothing this holiday season is going to have too drastic an effect on it, I think. There are so many great games coming out over the next year or so for the PS3, while there are also some great ones coming out for the 360. No doubt, many people will buy Halo 3/360, but I doubt it will be for a l...
I really doubt that there will be a new SKU in this vein (smaller hard drive, no backwards compatibility), but I would put money on it that there will be a $399 PS3 for the holidays. What its specs would be is entirely up in the air.
HD-DVD players are outselling Blu-Ray players in Europe, 3 to 1. Check your stuff before you make yourself out to be an idiot.

I can't see the HD-DVD dying that quickly, especially the way it's outselling Blu-Ray in Europe (3 to 1). However, I do believe that in order to have better gaming, they're going to need more space on their discs (case in point: MGS4). Only having DVD's for their games really restricts many game makers' ability to make games that stand out from the competition.
Regardless, Peter Dille doesn't have much class going about this in such a way...
Yeah, it's going to be easy for me to get personally, because I'll buy an instrument, my roommates will all buy instruments, so it won't be too bad. I'm definitely pumped, this game is going to teach me how to play drums (I already play guitar). I really can't wait, all the included and downloadable music sounds very promising...
Rock Band is going to be incredible. The fact that they're going to pump out downoadable music like that is insane--wonder how many artists they'll end up having, included with the game and downloadable.
One thing is for sure: I'll be buying this.
Good call on the effects of the wind -- I suppose since that's not gameplay, things like that should be done to increase the realism of the game. I can see how something like that wouldn't be done in gameplay yet, but while they're in the cutscene in the ship, you're right -- that's not very realistic.
Edit: To above, yes, it is nitpicking a bit. However, if these little things were done, it would have been likely to blow even more people away. Anyhow, the rest of the trail...
Well, we obviously can't speak for it yet as the game is far, far from finished (that and I haven't even seen this screenshot you speak of). However, I am a bit disappointed that the makers of the game have changed. I loved the first four so much, I just hope that this one can live up to them.
Edit: After looking, I've found the screen. Yes, it looks very unimpressive at this point. However, as we saw with Killzone 2, you can't judge a game by one pic. Well, you can't re...
My 360 developed the red ring of death problem in late April... I called and they said it would be 140 dollars. I said screw that.
And it's been a paperweight since then. I called on Friday after I heard about the warranty extension and, after an hour of holding, got on the phone with a rep. Even though I gave them my previous case number and told them what problem I had, they had me repeat the troubleshooting steps back for about ten minutes and repeat all the information I...
Also, the game's release date is not September 4th, the mag's release date is. Looks like we'll have to wait until then for more info.
Are you kidding? It's not "the fanboys" fault the rumble left, don't rip on their happy feelings for having it back.
I'm actually laughing that someone else thought that was your opinion and disagreed with it...
Thank goodness, many games will be much improved (shooters when you're hit will rumble, baseball when you're too far out of the strike zone, etc.). I don't own a PS3, but I've played it for a total of about 10 hours or so. Definitely a plus to have rumble back.
I agree. They should've made it so that the more games you play, beat, etc. (similar to achievements), you could then use those points to purchase stuff for Home. It would expedite game sales as well as satisfy those crying for achievements but want something more original.
