That SF scene... didn't... move you?
I had the "holy sh1ts."
I agree. I'm really hoping it sells well in Japan so they at least are capable of bringing it over here to the states, I'd really love to play this game.
Say goodbye to those bubbles, jade.
Also, good to see Wake is still alive-- I'll be watching this one and probably getting it when I get a 360 again a little down the road.
EDIT: Wow, didn't see this was so old.. Still, I hope it shows up, although my doubt is gaining momentum.
I agree-- IF (and that's a big IF) all the titles come out in 2009 that are supposed to and they deliver as they are anticipated, 2009 is going to be sick for PS3.
Stop playing on Liquid Easy, punk.
Konami won't win this... the advent of a game like "Rock Band" was foreseeable after Guitar Hero, therefore the patent is meaningless... or are they suing for that too?
I didn't pause it, I noticed it on the first playthrough and rewound it to make sure it was as bad as I thought. It is my preference that explosions, smoke, etc. "wow" me, and that particularly made me think "yuck."
You can make up whatever you want, I'm just calling it like I see it. It still doesn't look much better than an Xbox game to me, as was mentioned... some look as good if not better...
I can't answer that... I would assume it will look a little better, yes, but not drastically.
What about that explosion in the middle? Watch that a few times and tell me the effects are mediocre, at best... That is just horrible. Looks to me like the gun and character models are fairly detailed, and everything else is pretty choppy with poor, plain textures...
Are you joking? It looks more like an Xbox game, slightly better. Specifically, look at the explosion in the middle of the video. That's horrendous. Not to mention the texturing leaves a lot to be desired. Now, it looks good for a Wii game, I will say that much.
Saying PS3 GTA4 hurts pride is like saying Michael Jordan wasn't a great basketball player because he didn't play for your team.
antibubble
also Heavenly Sword was good. I don't think they're acting like there's "something to fear." This game appears to be flawed, indeed. I don't know if it would be as flawed as Lair, per se, but there's probably a reason this game has taken so long.
no, not at all. You whiners (fanboys of all system) need to realize that this is the essence of competition. Take away your opponent's advantages to highlight your own strengths rather than shortcomings. If you can come up with something new, then that's definitely all for the better.
I'm not calling anyone names, but sure, people copy each other if it's what they have to do to survive. If people like certain features, why would you not want to implement those features on you...
Good way to make money off idiots, I guess. Under 1000 separate or 25000 all in the same case? Your call!
I can't agree... it's more of a taste issue, apparently, because a lot of people appear to like it. I think if they would have started with footage of MGS4 it would have matched better... Something about that war speech and racing cars just didn't fit in my mind, followed by cutesie LBP. It's not anything against PS3, which I love, I just think it could have been done better.
a next gen Mega Man in the vein of Mega Man Legends? I loved that game.
No spoilers for MGS4 god damnit!
No kidding. How could you not see that? They are basically all impossible besides perhaps Alan Wake being a PC exclusive. Get a grip.
Well, so far this game has been hype, failure, hype, and now possibly failure. We'll have to wait and see where it ends up. After it changed engines, the media began to like it much more, it seems. That may spell good things for it.
Correction: EA is a lazy and crappy developer/publisher who is too stupid to figure out the PS3 despite nearly unlimited resources.
How's that?
Yep, I had a couple friends who watched the whole thing because of the story (they loved National Treasure). They were disappointed by what the treasure caused but I told them the game was more inspired by Indiana Jones, which made more sense.
Are we pretending MGS4 didn't happen?
IMO, that was big for Sony's 2008 considering it was one of (if not the) best games of this generation.
