Before Blue ray takes DVD out of the market. The hardware and the blue ray movies them selves are to expensive. If Sony could force movie companies to stop producing dvds. It would be easier but movie companies are not going to give the revenues created by DVD and with many DVD players upscaling this will keep people buying dvds most people just want to watch the movie and don't care about the extra content.

Avalible its callled a pc and the reason that people buy a lower end unit is either lack of funds or that they don't need everything that is included in the higher end unit i know alot of people who don't even have Broadband internet avalible were they live do they need a harddrive to play online not then maybe 1-2 years later maybe but if they just want to play games then they can get an arcade that comes with a memory card

it was a feed delay the game has profanity they had to make sure the seven second delay was on if people don't understand that they are just stupid they even said it on g4 later on and apologized for it cutting Cliff off during the conference jeez R2 and gears 2 will both be great games but as i think gears 2 will probably sell 3 million in the first 2 weeks where as R2 will take longer to get to the 1 million mark

I think that you will start to see alot of hardware sales start to slow on all three platforms with the econamy in such a decline people just don't have the extra money to pay for a 250-500 video game consoles i think the 600-1200 dollar stimules checks help to push hardware in the last few months but i think you will still see decent software sales
In there gaming division they are actually taking Sonys course in the same way Sony Relied heavily on third party exclusives with the Ps2 only towards the middle and near the ending of the Ps2 domination did they really start pushing first party stuff now in the third gen Sony had purchased alot of studios that were third party to develop for them now are fisrt party companys i think the next gen and in the next few years will show that microsoft will start to push more first party developer...
For parents looking to get a system for their kids without paying 300 - 500 dollars it one of the main reasons the wii sells so well the cutsy games with the low price tag they already have ps2's so they won't be buying them one of those so the next price up will sell i don't think they can sell the 20 or 60 gig units a 200-250 yet but they should be able to sell the arcade with a memory card for 200 dollars
they should just drop there laptop production all together they are over priced and underpowered just buy an HP or a Dell if you can afford it go with a Apple notebook
