From his ass, like all fanboys do.
Seriously, these guys have no idea how retarded they sound. 60% power at launch, huh? Why, isn't Guerilla competent enough to get at least two-thirds power out of the PS4, lol? Not very "optimized", now is it?
What's even more sad (or hilarious) is reading all these Sony fanboys comments on CPU and GPU tech, pretending to actually know what they're talking about.
Just sit back, shut up, and play whatever your master Sony deems fit to shovel your way peasants.
Maybe Nintendo fans buy it for... wait for it...
NINTENDO GAMES.
A fitting tribute to a fantastic game.
No, he's drunk on Sony-flavored Kool-Aid.
@Ambrosia
I would say it's more like 100-150 million users when you account for multiple-platform gamers, people who have had to buy new systems to replace faulty ones, etc.
Still 3-4 sales for every 100 or so gamers is pathetic. I wonder if this is the result of gamer fatigue? I know plenty of people who are sick of being nickel and dimed by DLC, microtransactions, and will usually avoid paying for a game since they're completionists and simply don...
Maybe Josh should avoid all forms of entertainment until he is mature and responsible enough not to have his behavior so easily influenced.
I remember literally wasting DAYS playing Oblivion back in 2006.
The Xbox 360 was so kickass when it first launched.
Edit: Ditto on playing Gears for the first time.
It's because he called Uncharted 2 overrated. Sony Drones are a petty, spiteful bunch, aren't they?
From the article:
"The video (below) is rendered in real-time on current video card hardware."
Translation: running on a high-end PC.
ALSO from the article:
"The images are the result of years of work, Jimenez explained..."
Translation: don't expect to see in-game visuals approaching this level of quality for years.
By the way, you really should think before calling an...
It would be nice for the PS4 to offer support for SSDs, but the price all but guarantees they won't ship with the console.
Nice.
"The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red also highlighted another welcome effect of PlayStation 4's PC-like architecture: being able to make one change during development that will affect all versions of a game, rather than bespoke changes for each. "This time around the situation is much easier for developers," said Adam Badowski, head of CDPR. And "much easier" means much quicker which means saving time which means saving money. Less faff, more creativity, better...
Looks fantastic, much better than the boring old man demo. I'm anxious to see how it carries over to an actual game. Will there be any loss of detail or fidelity? I hope not. If nothing else, cutscenes are going to be hella fun to watch over the next several years.
I like that you can start playing the game before it's finished downloading. That's HUGE time saver. The install time on PS3 digital games can run up to 30 minutes! JUST THE INSTALL!
Not sure I'm liking the switch from analog to digital buttons. You're taking game design options away from developers.
Also, what's with the change from six axes to three axes for Y and X? Or is it the same as PS3 and you just add them and that's where the Sixaxis name comes from? Anybody know?
File this article in the "No Shit" section.
I'd like to know more about how the controller's touchpad will be used.
The reason is publisher greed, pure and simple. There's no reason for digital copies to cost more than $39.99 USD.
It took years to "squeeze all the juice" out of consoles because devs had to spend years and millions of dollars building custom engines for the damn consoles due to their fucked up architecture (that's YOU PS3).
Moving to a PC architecture that 99.99% of devs learned growing up is not going to leave much room for improvemnt, if any. These bricks are going to be tapped out within the 1st year. After that, you'll see more and more titles releasing in 720p wit...
