and I mean ONLY one that I agreed with was the one about the Sims. I've never understood what was so popular about a game where you imitate the mundane details of everyday life.
The whole point of gaming is to ESCAPE everyday life and do something you wish you could do for real, like be a wizard or score the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl.
Last generation, I was a hardcore Xbox supporter mostly due to the fact that 99% of 3rd party games featured smoother framerates and better AI (so far this gen this is the same case, sans the better AI), and superior online play with Xbox LIVE.

I agree with both of you, but I don't see why there can't be both physical media AND digital distributable content for the sake of convenience. Look at iTunes.

It's just plain digital. HD will still be optional, although I'm sure at one point during the next decade it will become the adopted standard due to the massive amount of HD content.
