Yeah, we've been telling Gary to do this for a while.
There is a good chance that he might and then he'll really be ripping his hair out.
Both Microsoft and Sony have their own exclusives that are pretty awesome.
I can see myself wanting both consoles at some point, much like I did with this current generation. Just not sure at launch unless they have some crazy offering to pump out.
Most of the stuff about monitoring to dictate games was to set up ORIGINAL CONTENT offered for premium services. Did you finish reading?
People were raving about QTEs before GoW, BTW.
This, exactly.
Yep, exactly.
I guess I should have just outright brought up Microsoft hiring Nancy Tellem and how they brought her on to come up with Xbox Live original content, but alas.
Yep, I agree.
I think that finding a way to work gameplay into a more realistic, dramatic plot is going to be the difficult part.
A game like Heavy Rain did a lot of that where you were just walking around the house, doing normal stuff and it was kind of interesting. I know a lot of gamers were kind of laughing at like, hold a button to drink orange juice and that kind of thing, but it was still an interesting concept.
Just adding more chara...
The TV show is a complete mess, the game is just amazing and gripping.
Troll is troll.
I think what it is going to take is someone on the staff that really loves wrestling and is passionate about it.
THQ didn't have that and it showed.
People buy games still, as proof that other companies aren't out of business.
The U-draw was one of the prime factors that led to THQ's demise as was their reliance on big-budget licenses. No one buys big budget license games, you know why? Because they are generally awful.
Did you ever play EA MMA?
It was largely panned because most MMA fans are entirely ignorant to the non-UFC world, much like wrestling fans only know WWE. It quite simply did not have a license to sell the game to the masses.
I can think of tons of people who are actually big MMA fans who adored EA MMA.
It's still not clear if Yukes will continue 'working' on WWE '14 or what.
Yukes is in a really precarious position right now and losing this license will probably sink them.
What's funny is Yukes have made some wrestling games outside of the WWE license within the past ten years and they've really been pretty good games, not great, but better than a lot of the WWE offerings.
I really do wonder if most of the restrict...
Are you a fan of MMA games?
EA MMA was arguably way ahead of the UFC games that THQ/Yukes did. EA does a good job of finding people passionate about the topic to put together their games. I knew a few people on the EA MMA team and they are diehard MMA fans and it showed in the final product.
Also how it delivered.
At times mine gets way more use than anything else in my home.
Sure, you know what, there have been a bunch.
The thing is, how many of those really break through the same barriers that ones on older platforms did?
I think that the Tales games are the best ones around of late, but that being said, I'm not a big fan of those games.
Honestly, it ain't easy being an adult and being like, "yeah, I really want this handheld system" especially when smartphones are uber expensive, usually as or more powerful and most people have them.
It'd be rad is more games were coming out for them of that quality, but sadly, they aren't.
Trust me, I've long been debating just biting the bullet and getting a 3DS.
I hate zombies, literally hate them. Overdone, obnoxious and just blah, yet I played and loved these games. That is a testament to them not sucking.
There are also a lot of new IPs that are kind of shoddy, though.
Something like Sleeping Dogs people seem to love, and there really wasn't a crap ton of innovation that I can remember in that (I mean stuff on a larger scale, little things are what they are).
Probably not, but hey.
Yeah, I see this as a solution for some games, but what about the ones that don't have online multiplayer or any real online offerings to speak of?
