The Miiverse is such a cool concept and some of those first party games they have are really awesome. I really feel like if they just marketed the Wii U a bit better more people would probably buy it.
They are in like a roofie circle right now where they aren't selling a lot of consoles, so third parties are leery to spend the time to develop for it, which means that people are afraid to buy it, etc., etc., etc.
My guess is when the major Mario, Zelda, e...
Check the byline, I never wrote about Bayonetta, ever.
Oh I absolutely agree. Being able to pre-download a game and then play it as soon as it's release date is active is a marvelous thing.
These hard drives are just very, very tiny.
This will definitely sway some people, while some will remain distrusting of MSFT.
I'm totally on board with this.
Cannot wait for this.
This is the kind of passion that I love to see.
Microsoft absolutely has some cool stuff in the works, no one can deny that. But the stark reality is that Halo is not going to save them from the scorn that they rightfully deserve for creating such an anti-consumer, pro-business device.
They didn't need a ton of exclusives to blow Microsoft away. Just being consumer friendly was all that they needed.
Microsoft lost money on their last few consoles initially, so for some reason they decided to do this? Sony is going to get their consoles into more homes, period. They'll take a loss on hardware for a while and then in a few years it'll even out.
Small price to pay for getting the leg up on the competition.
Sure, I just think that they'd find MMOs on the PC to play most of the time. I think if they are hardcore EVE Online players, sure.
I sincerely doubt this.
LOL, yeah, I dunno man. As someone who regularly writes these "sh%tty articles," they get posted on N4G just almost out of habit. N4G doesn't drive traffic all that well.
I'd say on average most people read the headline and part of the description before going into the comments to say whatever they feel like without ever clicking through or reading most of it.
It is a place that once in a while gets a good discussion going, though, which i...
Sure, the online gaming community is a small, but vocal portion of gamers everywhere, especially here on N4G. The Xbox One will sell no matter what, just the public opinion is shitty right now.
Well, Wii U did kind of have a little surge there for a while.
Up until my old house flooded I still had all of my old consoles. I mean, I still have a N64 around now, as well. I want to play older games, so there it is.
Who will hold a weight over a killswitch while breathing heavily and making funny noises to save us from SkyNet?
@ DARK WITNESS
You know, I can't disagree with some of that. I have a lot of friends whose reaction after the event was "I guess I'm getting a PS4 now!"
I still think that patience will show if you should disregard it and concentrate on the other system or vice versa, but to each their own, you know?
@ DARK WITNESS
Who says that they have lost their way? Commenters on N4G? Avid Sony and Nintendo fans who are looking for the competition to fail?
Contrary to what many would think by penning an article like this, I don't have a really high opinion of Microsoft, I just do my best to be objective in situations like this. I think that it is a serious misconception that a lot of people have right now that they really believe that Microsoft has forgotten abou...
I address that in the article...
It is semantics, as they are still a part of the same genre.
