Wii's GPU is stronger then the original Xbox. It's twice as strong as the GameCubes, and almost three times as strong as the PS2's.
The Xbox could do 720p, but that was through a firmware update, At first, it only supported 480p.
If Wii has a stronger GPU then Xbox (which is does) then it can produce games that look better, and if pushed enough, games that couldn't be done on the original Xbox.

Not everybody likes Metal Gear games. Reviews are most often based on ones opinion of the game. The reviewer believes it's an 8.5 in his book. Is that illegal or something?

"Most people" is referred to as the hardcore gamer. The people who don't treat the Wii as a serious console, because of graphical power and online capability's and more.
Call of Duty 5 is going to use the same engine as Call of Duty 4, and it's coming to Wii. So we may get a "Call of Duty 4 like" experience on Wii.... Except it will be in World War II...

It's not just on this game I mean. It's most of the games that end up as a Wii exclusive people say this. Monster Hunter 3, Fatal Frame 4, etc.
I completely understand it when people state their opinion about how they wish it would come to another console because they would prefer that. I just hate it when people bash the Wii because it's getting games like this.
If they were in the game, then I would have bought it. But since the developers went and designed the characters behind Nintendo's back, AND for the PS2, it didn't happen.
360 and PS3 are great consoles, with tons of hardcore titles and third party support. Wii has very, very little good third party support. And as soon as a good third party game hits the Wii, which is pretty rare, it's almost instant comments along the liens of "I can't believe this game is going to the Wii! BS! It should come to a real next gen console, it's going to look like crap on the Wii!"

I'm quite surprised that if this is true, that it isn't coming to PS3. It failed on the 360, and some of the recent Playstation games weren't the best. I guess now it's time to see what happens when it comes to a Nintendo console. (the DS doesn't count!)
