In general, yes, but in this situation I think it isn't really about their takes on cross-generation support, but more on the messaging and how they're communicating it.
Say what you will about al the BS that comes out of MS, at least they were up front about their plan for cross-gen support. Sony on the other hand, "We believe in generations" and "This is a PS5 game" only to later quietly mention it's also coming to PS4.
I saw it on my feed earlier. Yep, not there anymore.
@RaiderNation
Yes, I forgot about Ratchet, but that's coming out in like 2 weeks? I wasn't really thinking that close.
Everything else? It's all timed exclusive. Not PS5 only.
"That talk ended with that trailer."
That talk barely happened because it was said to be cross-gen pretty early on and being a year ahead of GOW, it isn't that crazy of a notion.
"imagine how frustrating it would be to not be able to play the next Horizon or God of War because you can't find a new console."
It won't be sold out forever.
Yes, but it has to be done at some point. They said "we believe in console generations" announce games for the PS5, release some only on PS5 and then later say, "oh, these other games will be on PS4 too." Now we're talking about a 2022 game being cross-gen and as far as I can tell there's no confirmed PS5 only titles announced.
And how about what's coming? Anything? They started out with PS5 only titles, and now we're talking about a 2022 game being cross-gen.
Yep. They did. So at this point, other than Gran Turismo (which they could also make cross-gen), do we know of any PS5 only games?
edit: The interview with Herman says they're looking into PS4 for Gran Turismo as well.
This or BeamNG.drive. Both have their pluses and minuses.
It'll certainly help sales if they can get it on the PS Store again.
Tried both buying the free version for Xbox or download to PC and isn't working. Tried Incognito and only managed to get a MS store box to show, but endlessly loads.
edit: of course it only works with MS Edge.
Yeah, I don't know where this whole 5/10 is average thing. 10 point rating scale is pretty much like grades in school where a 6 would be like getting a D. A quick google put the average PS4/Xbox One game about a 7.
"Deacon can seem like a schizoid when talking to himself on his bike that kinda seems outta nowhere and took me out of the experience"
I ran across this video not long ago. Right in line with this comment.

Are you really surprised that there's people who don't like the game? After all these years of mixed reviews? Against the grain...
It got proper animations.
I think it has more to do with the fact that 2K would, apparently, have to pay Sony to allow crossplay but doesn't have the opportunity to make that money back because Borderlands isn't loaded down with MT.
@UnHoly_One
Sometimes I'm reading the subtitles way quicker than they're talking, so I'll skip. Then on this one particular person he was talking a bit slow and the game brings up your wheel about halfway through their last line so I hit the button thinking I'm going to skip the line and I wind up cancelling out of the conversation. Start again, skip lines to get back to where I was and it keeps happening. Then I start again and start skipping even more a...
@--Onilink--
Yeah, that was particularly driving me nuts last night. I had to speak to a guy like 4 times because the dialogue wheel came up unexpectedly and I'm hitting the square button trying to skip through his dull conversation. Why does square skip the dialogue but also confirm on the dialogue wheel like X?
"Stories arnt that short, it’s actually getting longer imo."
Such as? There are certainly games these days that are quite long, but it's mostly padding and not much actual story.
Ok, and then what comes next that's PS5 only? They start out having PS5 only games and for the foreseeable future, everything else is cross-gen.
