@Thorstein
It clearly says its a WiiU replacement controller several times though. If someone bought that thinking it was a for a new controller for the Wii then that's their fault.
Of course Nintendo should be doing more to advertise the WiiU to the average consumer. I just dont believe that someone would go to that listing and buy a $200 controller for a (at current price) last gen console, especially when advertised so heavily that its not that.
@thorstein
That's a screen protector, not the game pad its self. If that's where you're saying your son's best friend got it from, i'm calling BS.
@pcz
You shouldn't have to buy a hard drive and you don't have to. Most downloadable games are only a couple hundred meg and i doubt any family or dedicated gamer, would choose downloading retail games over the physical copy. Especially when the price is usually in favour of the physical copy to begin with.
If you do go down the download only route though then of course you're going to need to buy a hard drive, regardless if you're playing on ...
They have 2D platformers, 3D platformers, RPG's, adventure games, puzzle games, family games, racing games, party games, action games, sports games and most of them are rated higher than the competition by players and critics. Then there's the fact that 99% don't need patches or bug fixes to give the player the experience the paid for on day one.
With everything they have done and everything yet to come; If you're "not into Nintendo stuff" then what...
Not so small when you're not forced to install upto 50GB when ever you buy a physical game.
Sony releases games on PC. This is nothing new.
I want this and the Oculus mainly for Fallout 3. Once i can have them, it will happen and i will literally run and laugh as Megaton transforms into a mushroom cloud.
If the developers and publishers made only $30 from each game sold, yet they certainly made more in some cases and less in others. Though for arguments sake lets just say its $30 and with 2,000,000 sales that comes to $60,000,000 in revenue. If i had to guess id say thats breaking even on dev costs, considering its just a single player game afterall, which is a big reason as to why no one is really talking about it. Unless you can prove otherwise id say the devs and pubs are pretty happy. Eit...
Question: If you favour PC gaming then what makes the PS4 the best console? A lot of it's games can be found elsewhere, including the PC. Unless you really like Shadowfall and Second Son, im just curious as to why would a PS4 make the better companion console to a PC gamer? I myself am a PC gamer and my main console is the WiiU because of it's exclusives and general awesomeness which i can't get anywhere else. Plus, the day i have to pay to play online is the day i stop playing on...
Hey firelogic! What'cha plaaayin?
The sales of a games are the not the be all and all of what makes a game or a console fun.
Mario Kart Wii sold more than the entirety of the Uncharted franchise. 35.5MILLION! HOLY BALLS..If they made just $30 from each game sold it would be $1,065,000,000 http://youtu.be/pjnZO5ZgWE8 ...

Lol I love the fact you list games which were effectively not games, upon release. Yet the only thing you can think of to use against Nintendo is errr "that controller".
Though in all fairness, this lawsuit should be about Drive Club, Halo MCC and even Assassins Creed Unity. Those "games" were clearly not ready to be released and the majority of what they claimed to be capable of and feature, is what we English call; Bollocks. That is false advertising. ...
The original publishers of the game were THQ. They went under in 2013 so the game effectively was cancelled, with the rights to "The Devil's Third" returning to Valhalla Studio's. Then Nintendo came in and picked up the publishing rights, White Knighting when no one else did and making it an exclusive to WiiU.
Pretty much the exact same thing which happened with Bayonetta 2.
EDIT:
@ThisJarContainsTHC
Lol, no worries mate.

When i said by Blu-Ray playback it was with movies in mind. As you said, XOne and the PS4 do use Blu-Ray discs in order to play the games. The difference between the two is that in order to have movie playback you need certain licences and specific playback features. It's a feature which isn't entirely required for the games console to play games. So, thats what i meant by gimmick. However, the licencing fees to enable movie playback and for the use of the Blu-Ra...
I wonder if we'll see any articles from hardcoregamer.com about this "marketing mess" and "It’s a graphic designers worst nightmare and will haunt them for years to come"

Gotta be consistent and unbiased with your "journalism" after all.
@LOL_WUT
So, you think having the gamepad, essentially a standard controller but it has a touchscreen(as well as other useful features), takes away/limits the hardware? If third parties are somehow alienated by that then i think they should revisit why they hell they are in the games industry if a touch screen can flummox them.
So, in your head the situation goes like this:
Nintendo: "Hey developers, remember when you kept complaining about how t...
@LOL_WUT
"but when it compromises the hardware specs then it's a cause for concern as games get more demanding."
Where does it say any of that?
This is merely a new type of screen which will be used to display the game. Also, these type of screens are more efficient and require less power to run than a standard screen. Thus freeing up resources for the hardware, giving higher performance for less power and in a smaller form factor.
Any feature a games console possesses, which is not required to play the actual games, is a gimmick. Like playing Blu-rays, streaming Netflix, streaming gameplay, having an internet browser, having a blue light on the back of the controller or even something as simple as Force Feedback. All "gimmicks"
A gimmick is there to make the product stand out and differentiate its self from the competition. Don't worry though, whatever it is i'm sure it will be ridicu...
Amiibos marketing is a mess because the author doesn't like 1 display poster?
"It’s a graphic designers worst nightmare and will haunt them for years to come"
Yeah.....i don't think so actually.
Its just the information that's displayed on the games eshop page. I think every game has its resolution displayed..not sure why tbh...maybe something to do with letting people playing on different standards of TV adjust settings or something?
