Before the N64 launched Nintendo released images of the controller, showing off it 'new' analog stick which of course were seen by SEGA. Who then created an analog controller for the Saturn to be used with the game Nights into Dreams. So although Nintendo created the analog, because of releasing information to soon it was technically SEGA who was first to market with.
Ever since then they've been cagey and super secretive, like when they announced the Revolution a...
Aaaaaaaand it's funded with just 4 backers......
Fixed - sorry about that
Weren't they working on a wiiu optimised game engine at some point?
It's sad that game companies can now be praised for NOT making games... Also, Hey UBISOFT! Im still waiting on some help after Black Flag wouldn't load my save file because of a bad disc. I did not spend many moons and far too many doubloons on upgrading my Jackdaw for war, for Alex from customer support to take 2 weeks to reply and then have the gall to ask me if im playing the game in the right console... as if i have the intelligence of a semi-sentient sponge cake....
WiiU and PC for me this gen! Though i have just got a PS2 fat and finally got my Megadrive up and running again....plus the SNES, PS1, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Wii and X360 - Yet i've never played the original Postal. Postal 2 on the otherhand consumed more of my time than i'd like to admit. Those damn cow heads freaked me out the first time i saw them...
....then i violated a cat....
You fanboys do know that these guys (Moon Studios) became a Microsoft First Party Developer in 2011, right? Why would Nintendo prioritise them for a devkit???
"And just to be clear, it’s not just Nintendo, every hardware manufacturer is treating their devkits and their unreleased consoles like they’re the second coming and are insanely secretive about it to a stupid degree in todays time"
Hahahaha
So, im viewing the site on my wiiu and i notice a red circle next to the countdown. I pressed it on my gamepad and it disappears then a red triangle appeared. I pressed that one and more would appear and some hidden by text and in the corners. Anyway, eventually the timer disappeared and then some, i believe it was Spanish text and then French, briefly appears then goes back to the countdown. Now however the countdown has completely gone from the screen, no shapes and nothing i press does any...
Besides the obvious use of the touchscreen, id also like a motion control scheme similar to Splatoon. Just imagine you're strip mining and instead of having to slap the thumb stick around, you can just tilt the gamepad slightly, tweak the aim how you want and easily cover ground that way. If Nintendo and Microsoft are really working together on this then thats an option id like them to include.
Ok, so now i can finally play Minecraft from the comfort of my own bed with a film running. Wicked! But erm....so how long do we have to wait for a Mushroom Kingdom Texture pack? Just make chickens look like Goombas and i'll be a happy man - Goomba's are so awesome.
They did - it was called the Gamecube. The console which, along with the XBox, was outsold by the far weaker and most popular console of all time, the PS2. Why didnt power matter then?
I guess we should put 'hipster' next to 'literally' and ironically' on the list of words people use without knowing what they mean.
Sam Houser is English.
Since when did Morbo of Channel √2 start caring about video games?
'Coolest' not greatest and its just his opinion anyway. That simple quote is now free marketing to 30,000,000+ subscribers and every site that reports on it; I wouldn't call that laughable
I don't think you know what a PS2 is..
That old school controller only exists because of 'gimmicks' of the past.
@Wallstreet37 Are you seriously saying that Sony using bluray for it's games are more innovative than the d-pad, analog stick, shoulder buttons, controller rumble, essentially creating the layout of how controllers will be designed for decades to come? That's just the hardware side of things and without mentioning how handheld gaming wouldn't even exist in the capacity it does now. How about the basics of game design across multiple genres which were crafted years ago and still in...
