actually bryant you can thank them for one thing: cooking grenades. cod 3 by treyarch was the first game to implement it and has been revolutionary in most fps games since. other than that though i agree treyarch does blow lol.

i concur. indi is one of the greatest series ever aside form james bond which i'm dying ot see a new bond already but last i looked daniel craig was busy making a cowboy scifi film lol but who knows harrison ford is in it so it might actually be kinda good.

clearly anything counterstrike related is doomed on any console because console kiddies are ignorant to the CS that founded the modern military shooter years before cod 1s revolution and even the ones i've tried to explain to them about refuse to try PC gaming or would rather just play mw2 as broken a design as ever. @grieversoul i will agree with a couple of the names you mentioned but how can you say assassin's creed is just a rehash? from 1-2 is an entirely different experience and brotherhood added MP after that and gave you full control to experiment with the main character desmond where as you had control of him for 5 minutes in 2 and never did anything with him in 1 other than walk from his room to the animus lol. anyway those are games that are NOT fps and therefore not in a naturally stale ...

it's a stretch dude. yes children were given grenades and ran into crowds so similar i guess BUT my entire time in afghanistan the explosives were all designed for controlled det or pressure plates and the afghani ppl were notified of the devices so there woudln't be a lot of casualties. at least that's the RO in the south

counterstrike is the best game ever with the best community...granted i have talked to lot of socom 2 players and they seem like a damn good group of gamers as well--i on the otherhand am a pc guy so i missed out on socom but COD!? pfff cod4 search and destroy reminded me of counterstrike source BUT still took a lot less skill than CS. cod is fun but for noobs. LOL ME TOO! ha that's why i clicked it come to find out it's some stupid plot spoilers to one of the worst SP games lol in history. MW2 was god awful as soon as they started ripping off red dawn. at least they could've made the game as good as homefront which was basically a cod game with a far better story and slightly less predictible. take black ops for instance, EXTREMELY predictible but still a fun ride none the less, too bad the mp was the shittiest yet aside from cod3.
to be honest just behind cod4 cod2 both of which i only played on PC were some of the best MP experiences in gaming of course though nothing beats counterstrike, naturally.
