2 reasons
1.Devs usually spend all their money on the movie ad the scrap money goes to the game so it turns out awful.
2.Comic fanboys are even bigger fanboys than gamer fans and since most professional reviews are probably comic fanboys they just rate them down if the game doesnt have the holy grail in the box.
I dont see the big deal here. The only difference I see is that the textures are a bit brighter and the sky looks more realistic but I was expecting photorealism because of the title. I guess hype strikes again.
Thats pretty irrelevant. Install base means nothing if the gamers are not loyal. Wii gamers are causal gamers who probably dont even know what DLC is and probably dont play online. That is the problem with Wii. Its install base is pretty uninformed and it is not loyal to its games. It should be agaisnt the law to compare this great game to mario. Mario is a milked frachise that hasnt been innovative since mario 64. LBP is the face of innovation right now and it doesnt show any sign of going into the milking phase anytime soon. Im glad there are devs out there who still care about trying something new and pushing the boundaries on what we thought was possible. LBP has earned my respect.

@4.1 People seem to believe that but I think a 10 doesnt mean "perfect" but rather that it has done the best it can possibly do with what it was given. Ok how about instead of hitting the fucking disagree button you reply to me and tell me WHY. This DOESNT look that great. Maybe slightly better than my ps3 version at best. These graphic mods are only good for turning up the textures a little but but it doesnt look anything like the "reality" it claims to be.
