of course i would be referring to the profit, not the revenue. I think Sony would not strike a deal that would give you negative profit; it would be bad business model and widely criticized. We'll see how it turns out, i was pointing out 25cent per day to give u guys an rough idea of what it would be like, and the PS3 can pay itself off in six to seven years that's all. No need to be critical on the these fine details that i just made up on the spot, please discuss the general concept of this...
I assume you are saying the CO2 form the electric company by providing the energy? The PS3 release heat...not CO2..correct? The fan rotates to bring in the cool air and bring out the warm air from the CPU to cool it down by the process of convection. In order for the PS3 to create CO2 out from NOTHING, it will have to find a source of carbon to BURN. In your body it is sugar, protein, fat, which has carbon backbone, after you strip the electrons, u brathe out the waste as CO2.

Even if your ps3 makes 25 cents a day, you can make all your PS3 600 dollars back in about six-seven years years. I personally think this is a great idea, and no, Sony WILL let you make money if possible because they cannot possibly get anyone to sign up for a paid effort by some other companies; the only way to get player incentive is to pay them!
Why wouldnt them want you to make money, its the participating company that paids you, not out of Sony's pocket, and if the pay is...
Just wait until this sunday for the 3rd part of the interview, they editted it this way to make you guys talk and flame on. I bet you Jaffe will say something like, "I would have left it out for the lower price for gamers, but from a game development point of view, we needed the extra room. Just look at GoW II, we filled up a double sided DVD, look at Gears of Wars, the game was hella short and they filled up teh DVD9. Imagine this is only the beginning of the console's life and we have ...
This is not a bad idea at all! to be able to make money in my sleep, but don't expect much. It will be like 25 cent a day or some thing small
different times of the day, my friend. Cell is very good at doing shadows and such, depending on where the light source is coming from, it will illuminate accordingly. Notice the sun is striking @ the building in Getaway but in Real life the sun is more like directly above the building
I think you guys misunderstood the article. I think they mean that the Cell processor can process the pictures let's say from a MRI 50 times faster, this is different from folding at home.
Traditionally we have this big ass PC that hooks up tot he MRI, and it scans soo freaking slowly, the patients get agitated especially if we are not doing a body scan, liek we scan the hand for rheumatoid arithritis, patient stick out their hadn in mid air for liek 3 freaking hrs..see if thi...
Lol..i am not gona have PS3s in my clinic; its the Cell that maybe used int he new computers for the MRI imaging that's all. I doubt i will be hooking up PS3s to the machines..but i gotta tell u..if i 'can'..this is a freaking cheap alternative to buying these bigger computers with same amount of power..PS3 is steal man..good deal.
this is the worst next gen pice of crap ever.
This game doesn't push any boundaries what so ever, it is really a lazy port..doesn't even look as good as Resistance..and has less happening at the same time..so its a lazy port..or like i said. these programmers needs to go back to school
When PlayStation Home rolls out for free and has this so called "unified friend's list", I am sure you won't be talking out of your asses anymore. I have all the system, and yet, i still feel this is sad how you guys defend pay to play online or "you get what you pay for". I will tell you No and No to both of them. I think Sony has my customer satisfaction eventhough the machine cost me 200 more.
200 dollar is nothing, you pay 60 dollar for Live and 50 ever...
Feels like a PS3 game? wtf does a pS3 game "feels" like when yah.. using a Dead Rising Engine? ...i need to read the full PSM article
Making a major game multiplatform is a huge mistake. you take the lowest denominator of both system and you don't max out any specs; its a waste of our money and the potential of the game.
Can't use Cell to the max
can't use xbox GPU to the fullest (slightly more powerful than ps3 gpu, but cell can output nice 3D graphics without a CPU as demonstrated in GDC)
can't use the blue ray storage bc now things need to fit on 'not too many dvd9'
...
yah, statistically insignificant with 4 reviews, standard deviation too wide.
more crappi april fool's news..lol look at other article the site's been posting.. xbox announce "HOMEless".. this is fake
because multiplatform games needs to take the lowest denominator of each system so they can't max out anything..
Cell more powerful, but can't use it fully.
Xbox's GPU more powerful, but can't use it fully.
BlueRay has more room, but can't use it fully.
End result, you will get the crappiest game that everyone can enjoy. Games need to go their exclusive ways again.
400 million Euro (not units, EUROS the amount the PS3 is worth)
Kojima is a game maker, he has a xbox360 and Wii at home, he plays all his competitors' games in order to surpass and make better games. They do it all the damn time! Know your enemy, to defeat ur enemy.
alright..just wait and see guys. I have all 3 systems, i enjoy them all but really, you are paying for a different experience for each system you buy. I am not saying Sony is the best, but they pay my damn bills and I am working my ass off right now on Calling All Cars. Just wait and see, look pass the cartoonie coat if you are not into it, in it's core, it's an insane game for insane gamers. The cartoony look was a mistake that I already admitted because the install base is mostly hardcore g...
