I'm glad they decided to get rid of the ten billion NPCs on screen at once thing. Completely unnecessary, and was quite annoying. Not just because it killed frame rate, but because there was always one in your way.
Looks like they kept Unity's graphics, which is fine, because they were quite good. Unity's combat was a tad boring, though. Hopefully they've made some changes there.
The mighty PS4.
The only part where framerates really impacted my experience was the final battle with all those portals. It was horrible there.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw this article.
Isn't the PS4 already slim enough?
The only thing I don't like about this game so far, is the stupid name.
"Rise of" the Tomb Raider. The whole 'Rise of' thing is so played out, and doesn't seem fitting for Tomb Raider or Lara at all.
Could've had a much better, smarter title.
The inventory system as it stands is horrible.
People like this guy aren't going to be completely forthcoming and honest. They're going to be coy because their positions call for it.
Devs won't flat out say "PS4 is more powerful" because they just can't. It wouldn't be professional, I suppose. Everyone knows the deal, though. PS4 has an edge.
The Witcher 3 was a borefest, imo. I can consciously say that the only aspect of the game that impressed me was trees and foliage.
I love open world games, too, and W3 just didn't do it for me. I'm also sick and tired EVERY game being compared to it, especially when there's no basis for comparison.
I really don't understand the Batmobile detractors. I absolutely love it, and no, the controls aren't garbage, they're good. Very smooth. It's easy to control the Batmobile. Yes, it has a slight 'ice skate' feel to it, but it makes sense within the context of what the Batmobile is; a high tech, futuristic, heavily armored battle vehicle. I love its abilities and how they factor into game play. It's a joy to cruise around in. Very 'video gamey' which is a go...
Arkham Knight has sold more in its first week than Witcher 3.
Might as well go Xbox One.
I'm console only, and mods are coming to Xbox One, and there's no resolution advantage for PS4, so Xbox One it is.
That's exactly the word for the supporting characters in Tomb Raider. Bland. You don't care for anyone but Lara, really.
Uncharted makes most of their supporting characters compelling, especially Sully. You actually want to protect him, and care about the old man. TR's supporting characters are simply annoying most of the time.
Uncharted, with its massive set pieces, awesome physics, nonstop action, and kickass combat.
I love Tomb Raider, but it isn't on the same level as Uncharted. I also love the characters of Uncharted, and don't really care for all the throwaway characters in Tomb Raider.
Game looks awesome, and it just may overtake DriveClub in the looks department. Can't sneeze at that 60fps either.
Great job, Turn 10.
Beautiful next-gen mud.
I love it.
Don't tell me anything, Guerilla. I want to figure out this world on my own. I'm so sick of trails and dots, and tutorials of any type.
All I need to know are the controls.
If the microtransactions are for purely cosmetic items, there's no issue at all.
Destiny.
The most colossal disappointment in gaming in recent times.
Stfu about Witcher 3.
Good GOD. Before long people will be comparing ice cream to it.
