I just referring to the original companies that escalated the console war. From 16-bit era genesis vs snes to the 32/64-bit era with playstation,saturn and n64, and then ended with the 128-bit era with dreamcast,ps2 and Gamecube. When sega died, they went and helped microsoft develop the first Xbox, might as well slap their name on it.

I'm not tech guy, so I'm not going agree or deny the numbers you put up. All I was trying to say was...you know what, nvm. this is a WiiU support room, not a game enthusiast room. I'll see my way out. And by the way, I'm a SEGA fan for life. Every one of my systems got killed off by Sony,Nintendo and Microsoft. I fell in love with the games, not the corporation.

WiiU is the Dreamcast of this gen. And the Wii of last gen. Yes It's released at the same generation time, but is the weaker of all systems. If a forth party comes out of no were, like Microsoft did with Xbox. It might render the WiiU useless. I know Mario and company are high sellers, but don't forget Nintendo did have some failing systems in the past as well.
