Any 360 owners care to share impressions to those less fortunate demo-wise? :P It's a game I'm getting anyways because I loved hard-boiled, just curious to know how the gameplay holds up. The gameplay demonstrations didn't impress me and the action looks choppy from what I'm seeing in videos.

Fantastic. Even supporters of Sony should like this. If they're waiting to get all 3 consoles, now would be an excellent time. If your a narrow minded Sony fanboy, it'll force Sony to step up their game to match the competition by coming out with more features and putting more money into bigger and higher quality games.
Yeah, agreed completely. This lineup is a taster for the amazing games we'll be seeing in 08. The variety of the 07 lineup from first party developers is nice and we'll be seeing a ton of goodies on August 20th when the European developers reveal their games at Leipzig.

Yeah I agree. If anyone was holding out to get a PS3, September shouldn't disappoint anyone. Stronger games line-up, Home, alot more PS Store content from what was originally there and firmware functionality is continually improved on.

Hokie fan, this site gets rediculous at times. I rarely don't say anything worth disagreeing with nless i'm outlandishly wrong. Some people just go down the list hitting disagrees to certain names they don't like.
I reveal myself to be a PS3 supporter, but I don't ever knock the X-Box, I'm waiting for Mass Effect to get good reviews to buy one. Yet 360 fanboys have no qualms about taking my bubbles away. I was at 6 just a moment ago.

Currently, most GOOD titles are 720p only. Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Rainbow 6: Vegas are 1080i, and I'd say a good portion of all upcoming games are going to be able to do 1080i/p.
Also, your blu-ray movies will also play in 1080i and all the Playstation Network titles do 1080i. Disagreed with all of you. Why is Metal Gear franchise going on 360 a big deal? Nearly every other MGS game ended up on a different platform other then Playstation, a new game entirely would settle right with everyone since PS3 owners are getting MGS4 exclusively, maybe Kojima is doing this to make the higher-ups at Konami happy since they're begging him to make MGS4 multi-platform.

At this very moment, it will downscale to 480p. The XMB and all 1080i/p games will play in High-Resolution, but if it's 720p only game, you're out of luck.
Chances are, this will never be fixed because software scaling is very taxing on the hardware, the game has to be able to do 1080i natively.

If it's in the Metal Gear Universe, it'll probably be something on the 360 with a Playstation port for sure. An MGS game has never missed being on a Playstation platform in one form or the other, but even then, if it's 360 exclusive, it might get some 360 owners who never played Metal Gear a chance to experience what the series is all about and may make then inclined to try out the Solid saga. In any case it's too early to judge. All the European partners are showing their wares in Germany, August 20th. We'll hear from the Getaway team, Eight Days, and other Sony developers and we'll probably get some dates from them. Although, no surprise, most of them will be pushed back to 08 anyways.
I'm a PS3 fan, but I have to agree with that Mass Effect being a contender for Game of the Year. It's a huge title.
