In the time that I played it, there was so much swearing, and the game was so racist. You're killing Somalis, Asians, and Arabs, all with stereotypical lines, and stereotypical behaviours (Somalians jump out of cover and fire blindly at the sky screaming like savages, the arabs have suicide bombers who yell "ALLAH!!".

This is certainly odd. I don't go to the Playstation site, but I saw it today and saw the giant HAZE banner.
Very weird, it's certainly plausible, but if it's true, Sony needs to pick up the advertising. If Free Radical is making this game exclusively for PS3, it's a gift, and Sony should show third parties they're willing to push third party games. If it flops because of Sony's inability to act, I doubt third parties will care to ever offer a exclusivity to Sony's platform.

PS3 connected to a Harman/Kardon AVR 247 with 7 speakers via HDMI 1.3 passthrough to a 72' 1080p Toshiba.
Sadly: My speakers suck, and I haven't had the money to buy a subwoofer yet. However, that's why I'm going to work, to pay for my books and tuition, and I save a sliver to slowly afford the next component in my setup. My next 2 buys: Subwoofer, and a nice JBL center speaker.
No matter what, this game will sell. Everyone agrees.

If anything, Microsoft wasn't a "huge" proponent of HD-DVD. If anything at all, they were probably being paid to support it, so it doesn't come at a loss at all to them. Whatever money they may have put in is pennies compared to the money they are making now on the 360, PC, and Peripheral (Mobile PC, etc) fronts.
