As much as I think Portal 2 is a great game
I think Mortal Kombat is better

360 owners should thank the PS3 for this.
Since the PS3 has the Steam integration and the DLC was obviously going to be free like always does Microsoft was forced to waive the charge for the DLC or it would look real bad the PS3 got free DLC while the 360 had to pay.
Sucks Valve wasn't allowed to release the Left for Dead DLC for free on 360 too like they wanted all along because Microsoft said there had to be charge for it against Valve's wishes.

because if I thought like you I might as well buy a PS2 because it has 1,000's of games.
But I rather live in the present and future instead of having to rely on games of the past.

Can't say I ever saw anything like this with the RROD.
In the matter of 2 weeks every writer covering video games has grabbed the torch and pitchfork to go into Sony town.
Funny how in Microsoft town there were only the occasional random complaint article from writers who sensed something was fishy when they were on their 3rd or 4th box, but Microsoft said RROD issues were within limits so they took it bent over with a reluctant grin.
Now back in Sony town Sony ...

Buying a 360 at this point is a step back.
There's nothing coming for it on the games front outside of Gears 3 and after playing the first one, and part of 2 before I got bored, that's not a reason to even consider it

the free download will probably be something I already own

I sure haven't lost confidence in Sony putting out great games.
Picked up SOCOM 4 2 days ago and would give it a 9 so far.
GI JOE wasn't even as good in the early 80's.
Once I can get some multiplayer action I'm also confident the game will get an extra .5
So if you haven't picked up SOCOM 4 yet do so

Which means there will screen tearing and I'm not buying it

Those affected?
Credit card info wasn't stolen

I don't see it that way.
I understand the media is whoring themselves as usual with biased news that's all gloom and doom for Sony.
What's new.
But I don't have any negative feelings over this event other than for the criminal(s) that did this.

If anything all this company bashing is giving the media a bad rep because the media has messed up priorities.
Do you blame the bank when it's robbed?

The PSN hack was a criminal event not performed by Sony.
The RROD should have been a criminal event because Microsoft knowingly sold faulty hardware.

Sony and its users are both the victims in the PSN case.
Microsoft's customers were the only victims in the case of the RROD.

Bad comparison.

I agree.
Microsoft does get better reviews.
But when you have a firm hold over the media that is expected.
Take IGN for example.
Greg Miller at IGN reviews quite a bit of PS3 stuff but when they just had that office pool betting when the PSN would be back up you can see how Greg Miller really feels about Sony by where he put his bet.

Well if he's not the one to blame then I'd have to say the courts are.
Sooner or later hacking will be punished in court.
Until that day comes bad things will happen, but the hackers will hide behind the law and claim they aren't doing anything until then.

" your personal information is in the hands of a crook "

Who says?
Sony never said that.
The security firm conducting the investigation of what happened hasn't said anything either.
Possibilites and facts are different things.

Quick guys let's sue!
My identity was stolen.
My money was stolen.
I can't confirm any of this but for the sake of arguement neither can anyone else either.
Technically we don't officially know if anything was even stolen from the PSN but why not try to cash in.
My underpants were stolen.
I woke this morning and my pubic hair was missing too.
Anyone else missing anything should blame Sony right now.
I still ca...

About 3 years ago I had been informed my credit card info was potentially stolen from a local store once before.
I was informed through a letter mailed to me at home that came from that company's home office which isn't located locally.
Anyway that letter wasn't overnighted or express delivery.
I probably had to wait longer for that letter to be drafted, physically mailed, and then delivered than I did for Sony to relay the info to me

A couple days ago a judge ruled to end the lockout siding with the players.

But some time ago EA went to the NFL and got an extension to the exclusivity for an additional year with the arguement the lockout would hurt sales.

If the lockout doesn't happen EA should lose that extra year but unfortunately that will never happen

I disagree.
The potentially millions that sue wouldnt have a chance in hell without any proof.
And placing a phone order for merchandise from Europe hoping you can get away with it won't work because you submit the bill showing a charge in Europe but those are always investigated so when the stuff gets delivered to your address you're going to regret it if you have any dumb ideas.

"a Pay Service Integration"

There goes the free online.
Honestly I don't believe there was a hack now.
This is too convienent.
This was planned and is going to be used as the reason for doing away with free online.

Funny how these people who claim to have had money taken from them related to this all show up the moment Sony says there is a possibility some info was stolen.

Yeah I had over a million dollars taken from my bank account yesterday because of the PSN breach and want my money back from Sony too.
