Most likely that will break them even and after the first 4-5 months they'll start making money from hardware. Software will probably be key to tell if its doing well. For example so many wiis were sold but most people don't play with it any more and after the initial wave of games like wii fit and wii play the software sales have been poor. Sure some games have there moments and keep selling but with two times as many Ps3's sold the wii should have a lot more titles selling bette...

I believe it already has. Achievements, friends, and leader boards. Thats what gaming services feature and it also has many games originally from other platforms. Soon the Iphone will be listed under platforms for a game and there will be big deal iphone exclusives(well there already are).
I think reviews state otherwise in terms of being on "par" but you bring up good points about the updates and how halo just keeps being played for years.

I think this hints a cheaper then expected price because most phones have 1 ghz and dual cores are coming so why would they use in total 582 mhz when they could do so much more. I suspect they're trying to keep it at under $200

People bought PS3s (sometimes cause of the Blu Ray Player cough) However I think the gap will start to open up again soon. This gen will probably end in a 5 mill difference not including the Wii.

@8-bit beating means sales and while you use all 2011 exclusives you can take out every game on that list other than the top 3 and add Reach and sales will equal the first 7 games at least.
