Many Sales were by old xbox 360 users. Me myself being one of them as I couldn't help but drool over the Halo Reach Console. But even though there is more reason to upgrade to a 360 S than a PS3 slim from the original model. I think both generated sales from early adopters of the console and that while Reach helped obtain many new xbox owners, I think if we take out all the repeat purchasers the 360 still would have won. Just not by that much.

If they put free 3G or 4G It might suit some peoples needs. It its free I might look into picking it up.

I think there should be tier plans. Maybe Gold should stay the same and they make a Platinum service with ESPN, Twitter, Facebook and what ever else they add. It keeps gold members happy to an extent and people that like all the new features only see it as a $10 fee. Also if you have almost any major carrier you get ESPN. It seems to me that Nintendo is trying to get as mush money out of the wii as possible. I mean Nintendo knows how superior technologically the Xbox 360 and PS3 are and Many believe they will release the first 8th gen console. I think this is a desperation move to make more money and in a year maybe even e3 2011 they'll announce their new console which I think will be geared to both the hardcore and casual. First off Heavy Rain was awesome. secondly Halo Reach looks amazing. It's definitely on par with Killzone. Most cut scenes aren't focused on individuals with out helmets but I think the game as a whole Rivals Uncharted and Heavy Rain. Also multiple times the environment in those PS3 exclusives are smaller as in indoors and not looking at a whole region or planet, and while they are more detailed, they are not as Grand(for lack of a better word) as reach IMO.
Halo's a great series. It may not be realistic or accurate but its a sci-fi game 540+ years in the future. Modern warfare 2 almost appeared like a casual game since it was easy for people who just got their first cod game in mw2 two weeks b4 there first nuke. Noob tubing and commando. Where were the legit perks?

People bought 360's just for Halo 3. There were many hardcore Halo 2 players who waited as long as they could to upgrade but with the Successor to there favorite game only on this new console they had to upgrade. Hardcore Halo fans already had their 360 and many of them can't afford or just don't see the point of buying a new system for a game they can play with their current system.
Still they won the month and they beat their competitors.
