That's what MS does each gen.
Gears 4 has to be one of the most unimaginative games ever. It plays exactly as the first one. And the pacing... Jesus. There is just constant shooting with 30 sec, to 1 minute walks in between. There is no progression so the game becomes repetitive after 2 hours.

Please why is it so hard to understand that games evolve graphically? If games looked like PS3 games then 12 GB would be more than enough. But they won't. As gfx becomes more impressive, it requires more recourses. Therefore, the Xbox One X GPU won't handle 4k@60fps if games are going to look better than current gen.

Prime example of how games affect the sales. PS1 classic had a pretty boring lineup apart from some gems. Now look at Nes/Snes mini. Much better games.

Ps4 fan here too and I agree. Both psn and xbl is bullcrap. We shouldn't have to pay to play online. Besides, most of the free stuff are just mediocre indie games. You get two games tops for the entire year.
When they say "It's about fun" you know the game won't have a story and that you'll probably run around and do nothing more except to shoot the entire game. Just like Gears series. Except Gears had some story.

I agree. The beauty of a game is that it can immerse you by itself.
The general consensus is that it's a mediocre game at best. I don't deny you and your friends having a blast though.
Land of the Lounge Lizards and Police Quest (together with Alex Kidd) was the first games I have fond memories of. I remember you had to type in "read Miranda rights" in Police Quest to progress. I didn't even knew what that ment back then.
