I hated the stealth gameplay. I didn't think balloon thing on downed enemies worked either. I like that you have to hide the bodies instead.
I'm a huge MGS fan as well, and I loved the beginning of it when u were saving McDonell Miller, but as the hours went pass it just felt less and less like MGS and more like you were some random guy doing rescue missions.
The mission when you had to rescue two CIA agents is when I turned off the game and never went back, and I concider MGS 1 the best game ever made.

By that time people have moved on to the next consoles. Are you going to wait +10 years to play games two generations ago just because of a higher resolution and a couple of frames more?
If they have good content on release and If they support this game post launch and keep grinding at a minimum, it could become a good game. But knowing this is EA i won't have my hopes up.
