HD DVD has just won. Go play your soon to be BetaMax Blu-Ray movies and cry knowing they will soon be going away for good. All of you idiots, who wasted thousands of dollars buying 100 Blu-Ray movies each in attempt to carry the format with the PS3 crowd alone, have failed.

Gamers will not choose the winner. Average Joe will. Average Joe buys the most affordable player with a nice selection of movies. Unfortunately for Blu-Ray, HD DVD is the best priced player, has the bet...

Obviously, you can't read. The MSRP on the flick is $49.xx, call it $50. And yes, "300" on HD DVD was a combo disc - another case where you couldn't read something in plain print.

Amazon has it for the amazing deal of $45.xx! Wow what a bargain! $5 off an overpriced, bad movie! I can't wait - I rejoice in the fact that it is only $45 and not $50 !!!!!!!! (sarcasm)

Get lost Blu-boy. Go enjoy bouncing breasts in Heavenly Sword. I look at real ones...

Blame Sony. Listen up Sony cronies:

"HD DVD was out first! Blu-Ray came out 2nd, thereby causing a format war!"

Blu-Ray is the challenger, not HD DVD. Blame Sony for the studio split problem. Do you honestly expect Toshiba to cease their investment in HD DVD because Sony came out with Blu-Ray? If you answered yes, go shoot yourself and never, ever go into business for yourself - you'll fail miserably.

Both Sony and Toshiba pay bribes...

And that's what we call "frustration".

Your whole post was angry. I know that you're upset that Blu-Ray is going to lose, but make your anger productive and quit wasting money on Blu-Ray movies.

This is it. I am selling my Gaystation 3. Afterall, it has ZERO good games, it is getting ZERO good games, and it's Blu-Ray abilities were a nice run, but it has ultimately flopped and fell off the face of the Earth. This is going to kill Blu-Ray movies, and...

Blame Sony. Sony has this little thing called "self-interest" involved with Blu-Ray. Sony makes movies, so they have instant bias in the format situation. Toshiba, on the other hand, is solely an electronics manufacturer dedicated to producing low cost hardware for you to enjoy. There is no monopolistic "self-preservation" tactics by Toshiba. Want me to prove Sony is ripping people off? How's this - $50 for Spider-Man 3.

Sony is a company that has some...

You fanboys are dumb as rocks. This will do some serious damage to Blu-Ray. Do yourself a favor - quit buying Blu-Ray movies because you'll wish you hadn't when they become obsolete.

Paramount was obviously catching winds of things to come such as super low prices coming up this Christmas on HD DVD players that Blu-Ray simply can't match. They are simply getting on the winning side early.

Wait until HD DVD kills Blu-Ray this Christmas. You will then have excu...

The war is over. HD DVD wins. I have been calling it from day 1. The price was going to kill Blu-Ray alone, and this is just icing on the cake. Blu-Ray is dead - quote me on that.

Give up Sony fanboys. Enjoy Spider-Man 3... a movie that should have never been made. If you like drama filled chick flicks, Spider-Man 3 is the shizzy.

You guys claiming Target won't sell them are wrong. Target will carry HD DVD, but they have a deal worked out with sony to provide in-store advertising for Blu-Ray.

Also, Wal-Mart has made no official announcement, so throw that statement right back into the crap-heap. I own a business, and I'll be completely honest here, and if you disagree, then no offense, but you're an idiot:

Stores will sell HD DVD if the price is right and people demand to buy them! If t...

This is extremely misleading. They do not have 7 - they have 2 that have 7 shelf names.

You will say they have Buena Vista and Disney. I will say they have Disney. Why? - because Disney is Buena Vista. You can spin it however you want, but it's still only one company backing it.

You will say Columbia, Tristar, MGM, and Sony. I will say they have Sony. Why? - because Sony is Columbia, Tristar, and MGM. You can make 1 company sound like 4. The truth is, it'...

I also recognize the fact that it should be selling 10 times as many discs as HD DVD discs. Afterall, they outnumber total players, including the PS3, by more than 10:1. Because of this fact alone, you have to realize that most people who buy a PS3 are not buying Blu-Ray movies. When you only sell twice as many movies with 10 times as many players, there is a lack of confidence and/or care for Blu-Ray.

Just wait until this Christmas and see how things shake out. If the Blu-...

This website is overrun with Playstation fanboys. You guys all have to convince yourself that HD DVD is dead because your precious Sony is pretty much relying on the success of Blu-Ray. If Blu-Ray fails, so does Sony's PS3, and Sony's stock will bottom out big time.

While you blu-Ray fanboys surf the web for abnoxious "HD DVD is dead" articles by uninformed authors, I am enjoying great games on my Xbox360. It's truly a shame you guys can not enjoy great games on th...

the 3D0. Soon to obsolete - too expensive for its own good. The truth is, it could cost $1,000 and Sony fanboys would still swing from its nut$.

It is an $870 value. HD DVD is not dead - get over it Sony boys. Everything that happens is the supposed death of HD DVD, but it still stands. I wonder why?

Also, I am tired of hearing "The PS3 has built in Wi-Fi". Who cares, I want to be hard wired anyway when I play online for the best possible connection. Oh yeah, here's a new one for you Sony fanboys - The 360 comes with 2 sets of HD cables. You get the component cables, a $40 value, and an extremely nice HD...

It's the 5 (actually 6) free HD DVD movies, free universal remote ($30 value I might add), and the ability to play it on an HD ready video game system, unlike the PS3 which robs you of the proper HD cables.

I agree with Elite 100% and anyone who doesn't agree can not understand simple economics. I have both HD DVD and Blu-Ray. I own 35 HD DVDs and 4 Blu-Ray movies, with 5 free ones on the way.

I have watched both, and HD DVD looks better. I agree with the abov...

Lol, it's not desperation, it's competition. When your rival gives away free movies, prove you can do the same, but with a lower price tag - this gives you a higher customer benefit. Let them start giving away 15 free movies for all I care - you call it desperate, I call it bad for their competition. I'd buy another player if they keep upping their incentives.

There are not even close to enough Blu-Ray players owned to call a victory for it. We are 3 rounds into a 12 round fight - it's far from over. I have a PS3 and the 360 HD DVD add on, so I consider myself neutral.

What will finally get million of people to adopt a format will be price. When a player, whether it be Blu-Ray or HD DVD, becomes extremely affordable to the masses, then it will attract studios that are currently loyal to the other format as well as many consumers. ...

Just because they are selling out for their clearance sale doesn't mean anything. The 360 and the Wii were sold out well into 1/2 of the next business year after launch - I could pick up a PS3 off the shelves 2 weeks after launch, so yeah, sluggish is an accurate word. See how well the PS3 sells once they come back to the $600 price tag next month. I finally picked up a PS3 due to the clearance sale (notice I didn't say price cut).

I don't have to prove my possession of any game console to anyone. I wanted to stay on topic, but this "doomsday for suckbox 3 $h-ty" mentality is just plain stupid. It is not the end of the 360, nor is it close. The PS3 will not win this war. Will it get good games? - yes, it will. But a good game is based completely subjectively, meaning in someone's opinion. I agree that the 360 focuses more on shooter type games than anything else, so in that reagrd, they are not very dive...
