No, you spent the $50M to probably end up outselling the PS3 version nearly 2:1 in worldwide sales. But, more importantly, how many PS3s were not sold because of this contract? I'm sure had all else been equal, more PS3s would have sold than actually will. It's called hurting/hindering the competition and MS has the money to do it.

GTA4 will look great on both platforms. I'll wait until the game is released to say which one looks better. Up until then, everything is useless because people will naturally attempt to make you believe what they want you to believe if you are not privied to the information, but rely solely on blind trust.

yes you did spin the subject. Xbox 360 sales are up. Instead of recognizing that, you look for the negative of the whole. If 360 sales are up 68%, then they are up 68%. It doesn't matter how many PC controllers, and MS products other than 360s sat on the shelf. 360 sales are up, and you attempted to point out a profit loss. The 360 is selling well, deal with it.

The 360 does have hardware failure problems, sure. But that doesn't mean that the game system itself isn't absolutely awesome. Xbox Live is something that a lot of people bash for being $50 a year, but I'll gladly pay it for the experience that the PSN can not offer.

This article leaves out too many factors that need to be known to the reader. What kind of TV? How big of a TV? HDMI, or component? Was the TV calibrated?

The A3 player is $199 at Best Buy and Circuit City right now with 10 free movies. 2 in the box, 3 in store, and 5 by mail. Many retailers have sold out of the A3s since the public has gotten wind of the price drops, and Wal-Mart's advertising campaign.
Up until last weekend, prices were too high on both formats. After the $98-$199 player prices, sales of HD DVD players have surged. Blu-Ray will feel the onslaught if they continue to be arrogant and ignore that this is bad for them.
Your mainstream consumers can now afford HD DVD, but not Blu-Ray.
HD DVD is going to win - the writing is on the wall. Blu-Ray can't compete with the prices.

Sony has tried to do the one-sided combo and failed. That technology will never see store shelves on a Blu-Ray disc. HD DVD has too many production andvantages over Blu-Ray.

You guys have eyeballs and brains... just make sure you use your own judgement when the evidence is out there for your inspection. If the PS3 version looks better, my hat's off to them, but it will be a 1st for the PS3 to outdo the 360 in the 'looks' dept.
