Final what? I'm too busy enjoying LOH: Trails in the Sky instead of playing the garbage that SE puts out. Falcom is the new JRPG king. I'm looking forward to Xillia as well.
This RPG wouldn't be a "hidden gem" if most people weren't mindless sheep and buy something just because it has the Square Enix brand name on it. Definitely the best RPG I played in the last decade on any platform and I'm expecting great things from the sequels.
I agree. It's one of the best RPGs I've played period.
Also, you might want to cancel your order for the PSP Go if possible. The Second Chapter of this series was released on two UMDs and only in UMD format in Japan and for some reason, they couldn't release it on PSN. The situation will probably be the same when SC comes out in North America. On the positive side, being on two UMDs means the game will be massive.
Going back to retranslate the old titles would be a bad idea since there are two more Trails in the Sky games and XSeed doesn't have enough time or resources to do that. This game that has just been released is actually the first game in a trilogy similar to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. But whether or not XSeed will release the two sequels depends on sales for this first game. I'm hoping it sells well because this game is awesome and supposedly, the sequels are even better.
This game is awesome and has that classic JRPG feeling from the SNES and PSX days. This article also forgot to mention that it's developed by Nihon Falcom, the same developers who developed the classic Ys games like Ys 7, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys I & II Chronicles. So anyone who wants that classic JRPG feeling should get this. Anyone who wants that "press a button, something awesome has to happen" should also get this to know what you're missing.
The video review by Classic Game Room is much much better:

For that price, you can get a 500GB drive.

I have a 640GB drive on mine.
This game has towns unlike a certain other bad RPG.
Two more generic shooters that play like other generic shooters on the market. Pass.
this video is the answer to your question:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Peoples views on quality have become skewed. Even one of the developers in the video admits to dumbing down the gameplay to make the game more intelligible. Not to mention the advertising and the score inflation for WRPGs by the western media.
"You press a button, something awesome happens!&q...
Excellent!
More JRPG hate propaganda by the western media... The same media that gives inflated scores to even crappy WRPGs.
If you look in some of the Hyperdimension Neptunia forums, there are a lot of people who are actually enjoying this game.
But if anyone wants to be a sheep and base their purchasing decisions on reviews like this, that's fine with me.
In other words, they are going in the opposite direction of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. It has become a game for noobs.

Famitsu gave FFXIII 39/40, it was a wank game.

Did you realize you just proved my point? A game can have great review scores, but still be crap. FFXIII was also crap.
Another inflated review score by the western media. Pass. The first Dragon Age was garbage. I'll be getting Ar Tonelico 3 instead.
facepalm

When you become a parent and your kid makes stupid mistakes like this, I'll blame them all on YOU!
This is obviously the talk of someone who has never used Opera. Try Opera yourself and you'll know why it's so awesome.
Only part of the blame goes to Capcom. The rest of the blame goes to the consumers who keep buying these sequels. Vote with your wallets people.
