Definately not a YES! But nonetheless a remake or follow-up to FFVII cannot and would not be ignored by the likes of Microsoft. FFVII was and still is huge, just look at the popularity of Advent Children and other media spin-offs from the game.

Whichever console gets it exclusive would sell bucket-loads of consoles, whereas MGS4 is great and all, it simply didnt have the effect that FFVII had to the generation that owned it on the PSOne, for christ's sake I still have my copy of ...

I was very excited about this title, but after seeing the gameplay models... well am not that keen on the looks of the game, and whats with the dismemberment perk!!! Couldn't they have made the game without those bizarre perks!

... Is this the sign of growing panic within the XBL camp, with PSN being free and almost catching up with the capabilities of XBL, you can almost see that MS have painted themselves into a corner.
MS cannot make XBL free even if they could, because they would then have to justify that to all the loyal Xbox subscribers who have willing paid for the service.

GTAIV was a let down in certain areas and a triumph in others, but as the whole thing went down Rockstar are now in a solid position that new IP's from the company would undoubtedly recieve a warm reception from the gaming community.
The only interesting aspect of this is to know what sort of an arrangment Sony had with Rockstar on this supposed title...!

Now all that is left is for them to execute a better story and gameplay!

The Nintendo conference was embarrasing to say the least, am sure they have games in the works to sweeten the hardcore Nintendo fans, but to let the conference denegrate into a mind bogling display nonsense is simply unforgetable!
