Its only casual gamers that do that. Thats why aiming a console at just casual gamers is a bad idea. Most of them buy the odd game they like then dont even try to look for more games. It happens a lot in the UK, i know quite a few people who have bought PS2s just so they can play the latest FIFA game. Thankfully the PS2 was great for both casual gamers and hardcore gamers.
I bought a Wii on release day, i sold it within 3 months of buying it.
It was just plain boring, Wii sports was a laugh on christmas day, family had a go and all. I had bought 3 other games, Twilight Princess, Red Steel and Call of Duty 3.
Twilight Princess was pretty tough to get into, but once i had played a couple of hours i started really enjoying it, it was my favourite game by far.
Red steel was a generic fps, the wiimote added nothing to it and it got boring afte...
I used the F@H trick to get this game for free.
It was so bad i deleted it after 20 minutes even though it was free.
Its very nearly as bad as the Yaris game (which buy the way put me off buying any form of toyota ever in the next 100 years), and thats saying something.
I have a 7600GT and an AMD 3500+.
I can run the demo on medium settings at 1152x864 resolution and pull ~30 fps which is most definitely playable. And it looks gorgeous, these screenies don't do it justice at all.

You misread, i didnt say it was a flop.
I said neither R&C or Ace Combat 6 are flops, xbots claimed R&C was a flop because of one bad review and now the same thing has happened to one of their games. Ironic justice.

The only reason Heavenly Sword has a low metascore is because its a short game. I rented the game and finished it in one sitting, and i have to say i preffered HS to God of War 2. The combat felt much sharper and less repetitive, and the story was just plain awesome.

I think that is the same model for Ryu that they used in Ninja gaiden on xbox, ninja gaiden black and ninja gaiden sigma. Im personally not a fan of ninja gaiden, its too much aload of old nonsense really. Its the typical japanese game, arcade like generic ninja character faces big anime style monsters in a completely random and inappropriate setting.
I mean seriously, its a ninja in venice facing a monster thats wearing trousers and boots, wtf?
