So when they tell us Xone has no games till Xmas how many does this count as cause they wouldn't let us count Ori, Scream ride or backwards compatabillity.

It's a business and they make $$. I would rather sell 10mm consoles and make $10 on each, then sell 20mm and loose $100 on each.
Sony has really hurt the gaming industry by making gamers expect to have companies sell them hardware at a loss. It's not good for business to have companies loosing $$. It's like in game transactions for mobile. If you can make hundreds of millions making a garbage mobile game, why make real ones that your customers demand you sell at a loss or they will pirate it.

To be honest 2015 hasn't been very good so far. There are a lot of titles coming (Halo, Fable for me), but it's very backloaded. 2016 GOW, Crackdown, Scalebound.
Currently sales are at 980,000 units. So it will clearly break 1mm. I don't think that would be considered a failure.
