Developers are capable of determining if the extra 2 copies they will sell to N4Gers that would otherwise boycott the game, are worth the cost of adding an extra freckle to the main character.

@Flame - I don't remember GOW having QTE's and interrupting he gun play every 5 minutes with a 15 min cutscene.
Supposedly the game is 6-8 hours long, and has no replay value. It also has no multiplayer. Cut out the QTEs, the Cutscenes and the parts where you just follow around another NPC and you get maybe 2 hours of action.
That doesn't sound like GOW to me.

I never played it last gen - so I might look at it since it got a 90+ Meta. Never really loved the 1st one though. But this is only going to sell on Xone. Who will buy this instead of Bloodborn? And who has time to play both. I haven't finished DA or Mordor, and don't think I ever will because I just got back into ESO.
If you answer yes then you better sell your PS4 and go get a 4690k OC'd to 5.0 GHZ with liquid cooling, and match it with QUAD 980ti. Might cost you $10,000 - but there is that one scene where the Xone only shows 5 birds, the PS4 shows 6 and your PC will have like 10!!!

This isn't going to have any impact on any games already released. If you don't build the game from the ground up to use DX12, it's not going to work. And it won't have much impact on X cross platform titles in the future. I just don't see developers putting in the work for 1 console vs the other. But it supposedly does impact Fable, which is supposed to launch in June.
I would think that they would only be able to release a synthetic benchmark and the Sony Trolls would still attack it. Unlike with PC, Xone developers will be able to assume everyone has DX12. So they will be able to program for it natively. This means they can design a game that requires all 6 cores be fully loaded at all times to run smoothly. Can't really do that on PC because one guy might have a kickass 4 core with hyperthreading, the next guy might have a mobile i5u and the next...
Guys you HAVE to retry this game. Beta SUCKED. But I've been playing again for the last 3 days and it is mind blowing. Best gameplay, nest story and best GFX of any MMORPG and I've played WOW, LOTR, Conan and several others.
Im playing on PC with 2x5870s and the GFX are AMAZING. I can run it almost 100% full out with no frame drops. It kills any other MMO on gfx. But that's not that important to me. The gameplay is exciting and skill based. The story and plot lines of quests are fantastic. Trust me. I HATED BETA. I only restarted 2 days ago. You HAVE TO GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE.

I played the Beta and hated it. Last night I re downloaded and have been playing. So far I am blown away. The combat is much more skill based then any other MMORPG. The character development is amazing. The plots behind the quests are great. This game has really changed.
VR will never take off until it offers equal or better gfx as a 2D screen, in a compact size, for an affordable price. That will not happen untill several years into the PS5 life cycle. And even then I don't think it will catch on vs glassless, 4k, OLED, 3D.

It's January and no exclusive titles have been released. So it's a tie. Basing this on games that haven't been released or reviewed is like having a pissing contest over whose's 1 year old will have a bigger schlong after puberty.

True, but both Xone (50% increase) and PS4 (no increase) fans need to check out a Mantle review on a low end AMD CPU at 1080p. In Battlefield 4 it gives 10%-25% boost to framerates.

Depends on what you mean by VR. Yes in some way VR will be the future. Just like we have almost completely abandoned 2D side scrolling games and top down games for 3D worlds (FP or TP) and isometric.
However, if you are talking about VR headsets, I don't see it. It will be a fad for awhile, but ultimately its too immersive and cuts off too much of the rest of the world.
