keep in mind that MS paid MTV and Spike to show ONLY the MS conferences. MTV and Spike, unfortunately, have a lot of dumb viewers.
i foresee this race turning out like the current console race. MS sprinting for fast cash and lots of money, but Sony pacing themselves and ultimately surpassing MS's efforts.
a website named "1up" deemed Nintendo the winner of this year's E3...why am i not surprised? i'd feel the same way if a website named "Playnation" deemed Sony the winner.
i can live with either Sony or Nintendo winning the E3 because many considered them very close...

...so don't give me this crap about how artists don't care about format. you made some really good points and i agree with some of them, however, ideas aren't the only things that propel games forward. if you have a truly epic vision and run into space problems (like several gaming companies are complaining about), then you obviously need more space.

then you can blame your assumptions. i didn't say that i expect them to incorporate blu-ray (even in any of their future consoles). i simply said that they still have no answer. they're using last gen media, it would've answered a lot of their problems and propelled gaming forward if they had an answer to this problem.
Sony's sequels aren't worn out though. Killzone 1 wasn't very popular and KZ2 is VASTLY superior. LBP2 is a sequel to a fresh idea and expands on that idea 10 fold. no comment on Gran Turismo, haha (don't care for that series) but the Last Guardian is quite different from Team Ico's previous games.
however, Halo has been exploited too much and GoW3 didn't show any new dynamics to the series. so it's easy to see why many feel MS didn't have much...

Nintendo won because they announced rehashes of old titles? i don't think so. i don't hate on Nintendo, but all of their titles (save GoldenEye) were family oriented...and while that's fine and dandy, they didn't provide anyone footage or announcements for gamers that have an itch for more mature titles.
Zelda, GoldenEye, Kid Icarus, and the 3DS are nice announcements but they don't interest me as an adult gamer. i like family friendly games as much as the...
